Merci d'avance!

Puzzled about which mattress to buy (Amazon Canada)

I’m trying to buy a new mattress and I’m honestly a bit lost with all the options.

I’m looking for a Double/Full size mattress on Amazon Canada. My budget is around $300–400 CAD max.

I’m about 155 lb and a side sleeper, so I’m looking for something comfortable for shoulders/hips but still supportive.

Right now I’m considering:

Zinus 12" Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress

Around $235 before taxes

Seems like a really good deal

Wondering about long-term durability and if it sleeps too warm

BedStory 12" Medium Firm Hybrid Mattress (pocket coils + gel memory foam)

Around $330 before taxes

More expensive, but seems like a better construction

I’m open to other options too. If there’s a better mattress in this price range on Amazon Canada, I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Would you go with the cheaper Zinus, pay more for the BedStory hybrid, or choose something else?

Need help with layout for a small studio

I'm trying to figure out the best furniture layout for my small studio apartment and would love some fresh eyes on it.

I've attached a floor plan image based on a sketch I made.

(All measurements are in inches)

The Bed: Needs a dedicated spot, ideally feeling somewhat separated from the rest of the space if possible. I'm looking to buy a double size bed.

The Couch: I don't own one yet, but I want a big couch that is long enough for me to comfortably lay down on. I'll be purchasing this specifically to fit the space.

The Coffee Table: Will go right in front of the couch.

The TV: I want a 55-inch TV. It can either be wall-mounted or placed on a media unit, but getting a good, comfortable viewing distance from the couch is a major priority.

The wardrobe: There is none in the appartement and I bought one and need to fit it somewhere.

Desk/workspace: If there is room somewhere, I would like to put a desk to work on the computer.

Please feel free to get completely creative with this! Whether it's unique zoning, multi-purpose furniture, or an unexpected angle, I am totally open to out-of-the-box suggestions. I'm trying to make this place as cozy and functional as possible.

I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts or seeing any rough sketches/ideas you have for a layout that would best suit my apartment.

Don't hesitate if you have any questions.

Pixel 8 vs Galaxy S23 in 2026 – Which should I get used?

I’m thinking of buying a used smartphone in 2026, and I’m stuck between a Pixel 8 and a Samsung Galaxy S23. Both would be 2–3 years old at this point, and I’m trying to figure out which one is the better pick for everyday use.

Has anyone bought either used recently or still using one in 2026? Which one would you recommend, and why?

Best way to keep my old number active while using a different primary number for 6 months?

I have two numbers: A and B. I’ll use B as my main number for the next six months through my carrier, but I want to keep A active to receive notifications for calls and SMS. I won’t use A much for outgoing calls or texts since I have B as my primary line.

I’m on a budget and looking at VoIP options like Fongo, NumberBarn, or VoIP.ms, but I’m unsure which is cheapest, most user-friendly and still reliable while offering the functions I want.

After six months, I’d like the option to switch back to using A as my primary number.

Edit: I am Canadian

Any ideas to make around 200$ monthly to help make ends meet?

I'm looking for ideas to make around $200 per month legally, on a consistent month-to-month basis, without spending an excessive amount of time. Best case scenario, things that can be done from home, on a computer perhaps.

Ideally, I'd like something that pays at least the equivalent of minimum wage for the time invested.
