I am a 22yo female, have 2 years of customer service experience at the same location, and am currently lead cashier.

What are some higher paying positions I could look for that don’t require a degree? I’ve been thinking about being a waitress for the potential tips, but if it doesn’t make much more than a cashiers job I don’t want to apply. I’m kind of lost on where to look so I just want some direction. I’m good with my job, I just wish it paid more or had more room for growth.

I have moved out of the place, and have my own place now but have been paying my portion of the rent (at least an even split between members often more) every month recently. We will be getting an eviction notice within days because I was the only one contributing to rent, and I don’t find it fair that I will suffer consequences because I couldn’t come up for the full amount of rent I never agreed to pay. I want to get myself off this lease, and avoid as many consequences of an eviction as possible, since the main tenant on the lease is the main one who has caused trouble here, and has failed to pay rent the most after making multiple false promises to pay it or pay other tenants back for overpaying.

Why do people find it so hard to park in the lines, and god forbid in a space away from other cars? 4 empty spaces and you have to park 1 inch over the line right up against my car which is in the furthest spot from the door specifically to avoid this from happening.

I asked the guy today why he parked over the line up against my car and all he could say was what and look at me like I had a problem with him?.. This is not the first time either, I watch my car at work and see this every other day, why can’t people just park in the lines? I want to put a traffic cone next to my car so these idiots get the idea, a scrape is like min $400 to fix it’s not a little thing.

I need help moving an upstairs room in the next few days, to my apartment on the ground floor 5 min away. basically just a bookcase, dresser, mattress, and a few boxes and other things. Probably would take under an hour. I don’t know whether I should hire movers or just ask on here, if anyone with moving experience and a truck/ van could help me. I’m looking for 2 people with experience moving fragile furniture, who won’t damage it. I am willing to pay $100 to each person if the job is done well. Would be paying after, cash or mobile.

They said 2-3 weeks in advance, and I’ve only taken time off within this, but I’m behind with moving and need a longer weekend so is there any way I can take off a PTO day 3 days in advance? Or would it have to be a sick day (24 hours in advance)

Not sure they will approve my PTO without 2 weeks notice, and my sick day wouldn’t be believable if I requested it after being denied.

Just think they would like 3 days in advance more than 24 hours, but I’m not sure how the rules work for that exactly.

If I took some of the paper towels for my car or some disinfectant spray is that stealing and would they care enough to bring it up to me and take corrective action? The customers take the paper towels all the time but since I’m an employee would they bring it up to me? There’s so much supplies stuffed in the back, some jobs care a lot and some don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

Long time ASM is gone and they’re looking for a new one, they already hired an outside asm last month and I’m the only lead here so it would be the next step and they’ve asked if I wanted the position before but it wasn’t available. I’ve been lead for some months and have 1+ year experience here, I helped the new ASM a lot but feel like they still doubt my ability to take on a manager role, they don’t complain about my performance as a shift lead though so idk what I could do to convince them.

Im not 100% sure what it entails but I’m willing to learn and take on shifts if it means a higher pay. I’m young and keep to myself so I feel like if I don’t ask for the position they won’t consider me, but how do I do that? “one promotion please ☝️”(😭💀) if anyone has any ideas on how I could convince the SM to promote me it would be appreciated. My coworkers already started asking for it but I have more experience than them, if they can do it why can’t I? I just feel clueless and a bit nervous to ask.

I (21F) need to move of where I am asap! I have a nearly full time job I’ve had for years, I would have no problem paying rent under 1,200 and move in fees. But it would be my first time living on my own and I have no credit history at the moment, since it takes 6 months to build I won’t have any soon enough. I will be open to a roommate situation eventually but I really want to rent an apartment for myself, but have no one to co-sign with me. If anyone knows of any apartments or roommate situations close to Gonzaga/the Logan neighborhood please let me know!

I live with family in the US and my mom turned on me in some sort of episode, pretty sure a very real thing triggered this but I am not apart of that thing, and she claims I am and I am working with people out to get her. That I am gassing/poisoning drugging her in her house. She’s not turning on my brother though, just me. Neither of us feel drugged in the house or smell the drug like her. I don’t know how long she will accuse me of this but if it goes on I might have to move out and live alone for the first time, when we’ve lived together ok for years before this and I help pay the rent. I don’t know what to do in this situation, I don’t know whether others are out harming her but I’ve never been apart of it and don’t know what to do.
