PLOC and Margin Impact

I've borrowed money in my PLOC secured by TFSA.

If I use margin in a seperate margin account, could it impact my PLOC?

I do leveraged investing and can't touch the PLOC for anything else.

Just looking to understand relationship between PLOC and a seperate Margin Account, if any.

Using TFSA to pay down mortgage?

I can use a good chunk of my TFSA to reduce my mortgage payment by 1500 a month, since it is coming for renewal in a few weeks.

Should I do that?

I don't want to keep this house more than 4-5 years, just until I break even on purchase price and other costs. We don't use it well enough and don't really care about pride of ownership.

I figure that extra savings of 1500 above can go into investing in tfsa again, but I have flexibility in case of cash flow challenges.

PLOC - exceeding limit

What happens if I've borrowed the max and the underlying TFSA collateral decreases?

Does it mean I just won't be allowed to borrow more or will I have to put more money into TFSA? I've maxed my TFSA so I can't do that.

Transferring in dpsp

I'm looking to transfer my RRSP and dpsp from one FI to another FI.

I understand RRSP and be moved into RRSP in kind or cash.

What about dpsp? What account would it be at a self directed brokerage?

PLOC interest payment

I borrowed some money in May and will need to pay off that interest.

When will I figure out what is owning? Unused to see interest accrued in May, but with June I no longer see it.

Also, does WS require paying of interest, or will interest just accure on top of interest if payment not made for some time?

Swing trading and interest deductibility (borrowed funds)

I asked this before but didn't get many responses.

I want to swing trade in a non reg account with appropriate ETF with yield, using borrowed funds and ensuring no pollution of source LOC.

Any potential issues with interest deductibility?

Just wondering if CRA treats swing trading differently than long term hold in context of interest deductibility?

Anyone (or a group) interested in walking/running around the lisgar neighborhood in the evening?

Usually just around the neighborhood or even the trails near lisgar green and osprey marsh.

RBC account and salary

Do I need to have a rbc account to get paid?

If so, do I need to have 100% of salary put into it?

I know in workday you say put % of salary into different chequing accts...I have a FI that gives me bonus for DD over 2k and I'd rather not lose that.

Reference checka

Likely be getting an offer soon.

What's the reference check process at RBC? It's always a hassle to find references, but does RBC actually call everybody?

What about previous employers...I had pt jobs on weekends while having a career...do i need to disclose those also?

Paying off LOC

I must have over paid my LOC and balance shows -$5.

So can I just withdraw that money out to make balance $0?

There's also a field in the app called total payout amount, what is that?

When I pulled money out in past, that payout amount field increases..., even with negative balance showing.

Confused.

Just saw these passes for young kids for free, if adults have season passes.

However, it says seperate ticketed events are excluded.

Do others know if Winterfest or the Halloween camp spooky event would be included for pre-K passes, or are considered seperate ticketed events?

I've read here and there conflicting information.

Helloim trying to asses whether I can deliver an AGI to my tenants.

Between 2024 and 2025, the % increase in property taxes was 7.4%. This is shown on the municipality website where I keyed in my property address. It is definitely more than 50% of annual rent increase guidelines.

Just confused because I have not seen 2026 and not sure if I should wait for that number?
