I 27/f and my husband 26/m have been married for a little over a year and we are having issues with my ex 28/m and my child 5/m. Ex is angry about my new relationship and is taking it out on not only my child but our parenting agreement. My child is also creating issues between the households. this has been going on for about 2 years now and it’s really starting to affect mine and husbands mental health, it’s gotten so bad that my husband has essentially given me the ultimatum of “either the child and his dad goes, just his dad goes, or he goes” which has further caused complications in my mental health, i absolutely love my husband and i do not want to lose him, i understand his feelings on everything and my child has differing feelings on the households as well but i do not want to give up my child either, as i don’t feel he wouldn’t understand why and because that’s my child. My ex and I had no business having a child together, however, he’s here and i want to do what’s best for him without also losing myself and my husband.
so has anyone been in a similar position or have any advice?
