Flying after Surgery

Anyone have tips for a long cross country flight about 1 month after a meniscus trim surgery? It was a trim, not a repair, and my surgeon cleared me to fly but didn't give any tips. I’m doing PT and recovery has been going well so far. Just curious if anyone has practical tips for swelling, stiffness, comfort, compression socks, seats, getting up during the flight, etc. Thanks!

Hi, everyone. My child will be starting TK/elementary at Dixie Canyon soon and I would love some honest feedback from parents who have kids there or recently went through it.

A few things I am curious about: -How does the food situation work for TK kids? Do they provide food? My child is a picky eater -Are the bathrooms easy for younger kids to use and are teachers helpful with that? Especially with wiping and if there is a potty accident? It happens -How are the TK teachers overall? And aides? -What are the parents like. I hear it is an active community.

Also I noticed the school does not seem to have much green space. Does that end up being an issue for the kids?

Overall, would you choose Dixie Canyon TK and elementary again if you had the choice?

Any advice, things you wish you knew before starting, or tips would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

Best way to clean white granite countertops without messing them up? We have a piece of it that has stained. Not sure how to clean that and bring it back to white.

I’ve seen everything from “just use dish soap” to “never use anything except special cleaner,” and I don’t want to accidentally dull or stain them.

Right now I mostly wipe with a damp cloth, but I'm not sure what’s safe for deeper cleaning. Also unclear what to avoid (vinegar? sprays? anything abrasive?)

Thanks in advance

My 4 year old is really into those videos where "people" restore trucks, trains, airplanes, etc. All are AI generated. He’s a big tinkerer and loves anything mechanical, so it makes sense why he’s drawn to them. But he’s also starting to notice things that don’t make sense like objects floating, tools disappearing, weird proportions and will sometimes call it out.

We’ve kind of been laughing it off and calling it “magic,” but I’m wondering if that’s the right approach.

At what age do kids start understanding the difference between real vs AI/edited content? Should I be explaining this differently already? Or is 4 too young to get into that?

Also curious if anyone has come across any research or guidance on this. Would love to hear how others are handling it.

I'm going to have surgery soon for a bucket handle tear, and was wondering if anyone had any surprises once the scope was in there? Was the joint better than expected, worse? Did they find any other things that needed addressing? Thanks in advance

I have a bucket handle meniscus tear that’s flipped and I’m scheduled for surgery in a few days. Lately when I’m falling asleep, I’ll get this sudden twitch in my leg and it feels like a quick “electric” jolt through my knee. Almost like something shifts for a split second. It's hard to describe, like one part of the leg moves and another doesn’t/can't.

Has anyone else experienced this with a meniscus tear? Not looking for medical advice, just curious if others had similar sensations.

Thanks!
