Filament 3D print from local library…modeled in Nomad…

I lost the little rudder wheel in the back, but otherwise I think I’m learning so much about removing the supports (should have taken a ‘before removal’ photo) but I’m amazed!

Now I have to soften the surface (to prep it for a silicone mold) …any suggestions? I have a small container of wood putty, but it says ‘non-hardening’. I have apoxy sculpt so maybe that and a small putty knife, it can fill in the ridges…

Any local places to get 3D prints made (less than 5”)?

Does anyone know of any local places that will print 3D prints (just small stuff, not bigger than 5”)?

Or can you recommend any local person that does this as a side hustle for some extra cash? I love designing toys in 3d programs but I don’t have confidence that I’ll be able to handle the technological aspects of a home printer…

Adding a album cover image into a character’s T shirt

I’ve been searching for an answer to this, can’t find it. Maybe it can’t be done in Nomad….?

How do you place a full-color image (like music album cover image) onto a character’s t shirt?
Thanks…

A collection of study notes for learning Nomad Sculpt

Here is a link to my pdf consisting mostly of screen shots with my study notes. I love this app and hope to get really good at it! Right now I’d say I’m approaching an intermediate level (finally feeling comfortable!)

Not even sure if my crazy 😝 scribbled notes (made in Procreate) will make sense to anyone but me, but it’s a way of ‘making a breadcrumb trail’ for later, in case I get interrupted by something in my life, and I can’t practice for a few days/weeks, I use these ‘study sheet’ screenshots (with notes added in Procreate, but you can use any photo editor) to get back up-to-speed more quickly.

Feel free to share any helpful screenshots here in the comments that made you have an “Ah-ha!” learning moment!

When I use 2 fingers to rotate, it doesn’t turn very far!

I was playing around with the settings today and must have hit the wrong button and now when I use 2 fingers outside the mesh to turn it, it moves much slower than normal! Can’t figure it out….?

Why is the head transparent and showing the hair on the back?

The head seems transparent and shows the hair in the back and I don’t know why! Any ideas what setting it could be? Thanks!

Tiny White Bugs on my Chamomile Flowers!

This type of indoor kit allows you to put in potting soil, and I guess the soil had some hitchhikers! Should I leave them? They’re super tiny!

Air conditioner affects Aerogarden grow?

I have some Aerogardens in my living room (no AC) and some in my bedroom (AC set to 70F). Has anyone noticed if their AC has slowed their plants growth? 🤔

Decoupage on Dresser!

Had an old dresser with hand painted monkeys on it, and wanted a change. Painted the panels white, then decoupaged paper napkins onto surface!

Older well-dressed French Gentleman in Bronxville, NY

A few times while in Bronxville we’ve noticed a well-dressed, French-speaking gentleman walking around downtown Bronxville, NY. Is he well known? 🤔

I love this jacket from Primark but…

The thread that they used to stitch it together is itchy! But it’s the perfect color, size, etc….its 93% cotton and 7% polyamide, but the inside stitching is itchy! Any suggestions for washing it to somehow soften it? I think my only other choice is to sew in a liner! Thanks for any advice…

I didn’t have any luck with chamomile seeds last year (they were ‘dud’ seeds) so this time I overdid it and planted (perhaps) thousands of seeds, so now I have a carpet of them! It’s really beautiful, like a fairy garden! But not sure if any of them will give me flowers! 😝😆

I started these Butter Crunch Lettuce seeds on Feb 23 and they grew slowly and looked really pathetic, but it has turned out to be amazing!

I just harvest the outer leaves and every morning when I wake up, there’s more and more! The video shows them after I picked quite a bit. Perfect for topping burgers, salads, etc.
