What if social media sites were keeping copies of unsent posts and comments
You're on reddit and start typing a reply in r/stonerthoughts. Luckily you realise the folly of your ways. You delete the comment before sending it, but what you don't know is that as you delete it the site copies it into a file somewhere.
Just imagine how many half baked tweets, YouTube, reddit comments that could be out there.
