Little story

So when I was in middle school, my mom took me and my brothers to the mall and we went on the bus and I loved Garage but we didn’t have a ton of extra money to spend so I didn’t get it a lot. My mom bought me 2 hoodies from there (about $35 or $40 at the time) and I loved them but on the way back, my brother had the bag and he left it in another store. When we took the bus back home, we noticed the bag wasn’t there and my brother had left it. I started crying and my mom was upset too. The next day she went back to the mall without me knowing and bought me another hoodie from Garage. I was so happy. I use to live in Canada and moved to the US where I recently found out they have Garage here too. Just wanted to share this little story. I miss my mom so much, she’s still in Canada. Going to see her in a few weeks!

Brokerage vs IRA

Hi guys. I recently moved from Canada and I’m trying to understand a few things. I currently have a brokerage that I invest into every month. Although I know the gains are taxable. :( I also have a 401k through my job so I’m investing the full match. Now recently I heard about IRA. There’s traditional and ROTH? I heard that that one is similar to what we have in Canada which is a TFSA - where’s a contribution limit and it’s tax free. I really want to remove the money from my brokerage and put it into an IRA. I just don’t know what IRA to put it into- Roth or traditional? And also my and my husband file taxes seperately as well, does that impact the IRA contribution? Any help is welcome!!!

Stuck and sad

I recently got married and moved to a neighbouring country because my husband is from there. My whole family is still in my home country and I just feel so much fomo whenever they meet without me. Even if it’s just my siblings going over to my parents house for the weekend. I wish I could just do the same. I wish I could pop by on a random Wednesday evening at my parents house. I genuinely had no idea it would be this hard. It’s been 2.5 years and I’m still no use to it. I try to visit every 3 months but it’s usually just for 2 weeks maximum since I have a job here. Sometimes I do regret my decision but I don’t regret marrying my husband, I love him and can never imagine being divorced. Him moving to my country isn’t in the cards since he can’t do his career there. Having children stresses me out too. I can’t just leave my baby at my parents house for an evening like my other siblings can. I always try to go back for major events like Eid or my niece / nephews aqiqa and then routinely go back every few months but it’s just not enough. I really don’t know what to do. I’m stuck and I get depressed because of this.

Can’t login to my account

I changed the password but it was asking for a 2 factor authentication to my old phone number that I no longer have access too. Then it asked for one of the codes which I don’t have either :( I sent an email and they just said this is not a monitored mailbox and to visit Etsy’s support and it again tells me to send an email.

Anyone else with this issue? I really need access to my account
