On June 21st, I had what I believe was a high‑risk HIV exposure with a woman who turned out to be a professional dancer from Ukraine. The sex was with a condom, but there were two spots on the area not covered by the condom that looked similar to herpes. The spots were not open or bleeding.
The day after the encounter, I developed a sore throat and a white tongue, and these symptoms have continued for 12 days now. I’m worried about whether these could be signs of acute HIV infection, or if this is more likely to be anxiety.
After removing the condom, I wiped away some semen near the urethral opening. I also used my finger inside her vagina for a while, which has added to my concern and then tested the taste of lube with the same fingers
I’m planning to take an HIV RNA test on July 6th.
