Hi there. For 3 years now, if I eat a large amount of sugar in a small time frame (usually birthday or Valentine’s Day) I will get mostly one patch of my tongue that flares up. It will at times spread all over but this time it has not.
When I was prescribed nystatin the last 2x I’ve had this happen it was a higher dose of 5ml 4x a day vs what I get here in the UK as 1ml 4x day. I had to request for more but there was a 3 day delay and slowed down my healing.
Has anyone else had this? Doctor requested blood work to test for pre diabetes as it only happens when I eat a lot of sugar.
Does this look normal to you? Pics are before and after wiping with a q tip. Usual achy tongue but that’s about it.

Noticed my front tooth was yellowing a few weeks ago. It was fine 2.5 months ago. I had a pretty intense SRP done on my front teeth from an infection - could this yellowing be from trauma by that?
My gum has a slight ache in that tooth but comes and goes & I think more noticeable when I’m anxious.
Any idea what could have caused this? Can it be as simple as needing a polish or more complex?

Just woke up to a swelling under my tongue. I just finished a course of metronidazole for an acute infection on my upper gums post SRP. Could this be related? Feeling really anxious.

The gum to the left side in the photo has been swollen off and on since January - seem multiple dentists who clean the area to break up the biofilm & then send me on my way. It kept coming back & again same thing. Then the middle started to swell & now deposits started coming out of my gums that were small and had a smell.

Just moved overseas - flared again & saw a dentist here who noticed something was oozing out and did the same biofilm but this time 5 days of amoxicillin & told me to find a periodontist.

I did - had my whole upper jaw deep cleaned on Wednesday, and it’s only gotten worse. I don’t understand what is happening. I have had them in the past and never experienced anything like this… I feel deformed & the initial swollen pocket I’ve had is now worse & so is the middle of my mouth.

The red mark was on the gum for about a week before SRP - now that general area looks worse. Could this have been something serious? I am truly regretting this and feeling extremely helpless.
