Maybe a silly question about the BGW320-500

Any way other than passthrough mode and dropping in my own router to block certain devices from getting out to the internet?

Chance to use my way?

I have an Echo (this one Echo (4th Gen) | With premium sound, smart home hub, and Alexa | Charcoal), a 1st Gen Echo Show 15, and a 1st Gen Studio. I am de-Echoing my home and have these items left to do something with.

For the Echo and Studio, I have WiiM controllers I can connect, is it possible to factory reset the speakers and just use the Aux-In without setting them up as Amazon devices?

Anything I can do with the 1st Gen 15" Show?

Would hate to just toss all the stuff after wiping them.

Thanks for any assistance/help/ideas you can share.

Drives in failed unRAID instance

Hello, I have an instance of unRAID that is was using to mess around on so I didn't screw up my main server. Unfortunately it will not boot after the last restart I did during a power outage. It shut down cleanly but will not come back up.

I didn't have much on it but would love to grab some of the files off of the drives that are in it.

Is it possible for me to mount those drives in my working server and move some files over?

Or do I just chalk it up as a loss? Nothing on it is that important, just will take some time to redo.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Tired of it, is there anything

I have an Echo Show 15 mounted in my Kitchen. Has been ok, not great, in the 3 1/2 yearsa I have had it. Hated the ads, which have gotten worse over the years. I tried Alex+ and it was horrible for us, so I switched it back. Not sure what happened but now I cannot dismiss ads any longer, if I try and touch the icon in the bottom right of the ad it just brings up the full ad.

I would like to switch but having trouble finding something to replace it. I have looked at a large Android tablet (14.6"), the Samsung Galaxy S11 Ultra and like it but I don't really need all that. Not opposed to getting it if that is the best option, though.

I tried one of the "Calendar" option that run an Android OS but it is way too slow for my needs.

What I need is

  • Voice interaction
  • Wall mountable with minimal modification to wall
  • Calendar (Google calendar)
  • Shopping lists of some sort
  • Timers
  • Photos (would rather have Google photos but either Amazon or Google works)
  • Spotify
  • The ability to use Plex and YT TV on it
  • Would love widgets but not a deal breaker

If the best option for my needs is still the Show, then fine. Just getting a little tired of the 'Zon garbage I constantly have to put up with on it.

Any suggestions?

(If this breaks any rules here, I apologize.)

Email to do next session?

I was working a session and got kicked off because of an "update". All well and good, hard to pick a time to update something that gets used 24/7 (although, possible to have a banner that an update is going to happen at a certain time to plan better?) and I decided to finish up later.

However, I got an email about 30 minutes later stating, "Even 10 minutes today keeps the momentum going. "

Was this a glitch because of the update that it did not realize I was working on a session already today?

Also, can we know what the update was for? Something good coming and it was just backend stuff?

Repeating courses

Hello,

Loving the site, makes it very easy to just do a quick session when I have some spare time.

I just completed another course, is there a way to repeat the exact same course? I did not score what I want to achieve (71.7%), so I need a bit more practice with those. I do not see a way to repeat the exact same course.

Thanks!

Hello all, just got my Bike+ in and set it up yesterday. Could not get my shoes to fit properly, found a 5-yr old post that had a suggestion and they work great now. Pop in easily, secure while riding, pop out easily when I want. Still trying to understand the "cadence" and "output" but I am learning.

Did a Scenic ride today just to get used to it. I noticed that what was recording as 18 mph did not seem like I was pedaling for a speed of 18 mph. It also had me going about 5.5 miles for the 20 min ride.

How accurate are the metrics like that, speed and total distance?

I also had trouble getting my Apple watch to connect so I could monitor heart rate - the Peloton app onscreen told me to open the Peloton app on my watch, the app on my watch tells me to start a workout on my device. I did, it never showed me my heartrate. What am I missing?

Thanks for any info on any of these what I guess are fairly simple questions.

Sorry for such basic questions - I have a current account with 2 lines on it.
I am wanting to port in 2 numbers (one is my wife's phone and one is my main line on my phone, the second line is already USMobile). I also want to port in my watch.

I see I can add a line, then it takes me to checkout but I do not want to checkout until I know I am doing it correctly.

After I check out, it will give me the option to port the numbers from the other carrier, correct?

And I should not be doing that until I am ready to port since the billing cycle start immediately, right?

Thanks for any info and insight.
