Stripo email builder vs Mailchimp's built-in editor, which one do you prefer and why?

I’ve been rebuilding part of our email workflow lately and honestly the more I compare them, the more I lean toward using a dedicated tool like Stripo email builder instead of Mailchimp’s built-in editor. Mailchimp is okay for super basic newsletters, but once emails become more complex the editing starts feeling restrictive fast. Reusable modules, responsive behavior, cleaner exports, and keeping templates consistent across campaigns all seem easier with Stripo email builder. Biggest thing for me is maintainability. I’d rather spend time optimizing campaigns than constantly fixing spacing/rendering issues every time someone edits a template inside Mailchimp. If anyone else ended up separating email design from the sending platform for the same reason.

Best software development companies in Europe right now?

I’m currently in the process of vetting potential tech partners to help us build out a complex mobile banking module, and I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by the sheer volume of options. We’ve looked at local agencies here, but the costs are astronomical and the lead times for starting a project are just not feasible for our current roadmap. Because we need to maintain a high level of code quality while keeping an eye on our burn rate, I’ve decided to focus our search on software development companies in Europe that can offer a better balance of talent and cost.

The main challenge is that every agency’s website looks identical, they all claim to be "top-rated" and "agile experts." I’ve had bad experiences in the past where we hired a firm that looked great on paper, but the actual developers were junior-level and required constant hand-holding. We are looking for a team that can actually take ownership of the technical architecture and work as an extension of our core team.

And here is what I am interested in:

  • When looking at software development companies in Europe, how do you verify if the senior talent they promise is actually the team working on your code?

  • Is there a noticeable difference in the engineering culture between different regions in 2026?

  • What are the common red flags you’ve encountered during the initial "discovery phase" with an external agency?

  • How do these firms usually handle intellectual property and data security compliance (GDPR) for sensitive projects?

  • Is it better to go for a massive firm with thousands of employees or a boutique shop that specializes in a specific niche?

  • What does a "fair" hourly rate for a Senior Dev look like these days without getting ripped off?

I’m really looking for some "boots on the ground" advice. If you’ve partnered with an agency recently that actually delivered what they promised without the usual project management drama, I’d love to hear how you found them.

Those batteries will charge during off-peak electricity times

The prices for these Chinese OEM batteries and solar panels are getting absolutely insane. 12V 100ah is just for $100. Charged, when energy demand increases and power prices go up, the batteries will discharge, keeping the freezers running and lights on while cutting the business’s utility costs. you can search aytop1 on aliexpress to see the product.

Is incline walking actually effective long term?

I’ve been seeing a lot about incline walking lately, and I’m not sure if it’s just a trend or something that’s actually effective long term. I tried it once, and it definitely felt more challenging than regular walking, but I didn’t do it long enough to really understand the benefits. For those who’ve been doing incline walking consistently, did you see real results from it?

a bunch of eternal roses 🌹

Printing and processing instructions:

Assembly - Push the star shaped leaves on the stem, there should be a little of the stem poking from it. After that hot glue the rose on top, there should be enough space in the rose at the bottom for glue to expand and stem to hide.

Rose - should print as it is.

Stem (leaves on bed) - should print as it is, position the leaves with heat afterwards !

Base (flat on bed) - should print as it is, position the leaves with heat afterwards !

Stem (leaves mid air) - My remix addresses some of these by making the leaf stems thicker and painting custom supports, also, the stem is now longer and looks better in a vase. Print profile has fuzzy modifiers on leaves i personally like them that way.

Print instructions:

  • use high-quality filament, which will prevent 90% of problems
  • if you encounter any issues, manually set the print speed to 50% (this gives layers more time to cool down) Post process instructions:
  1. very carefully remove supports, start by small pieces from leaves and work your way down to the stem
  2. carefully trim any excess material
  3. use heat to remove stringing (i used a cheap filament:AE search for 'ay3dp'; KINGROON 10kg available for $59) and carefully heat the branches under leafs
  4. pose leaves to a more natural position while the branches are heated

Base (leaves in air) - should print as it is, can fail on removing supports, be careful.

Any reliable house cleaning services in Waco?

Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about getting some help with cleaning around the house and was wondering if anyone here has recommendations for reliable house cleaning services in Waco. I’m looking for someone trustworthy who does a good job and doesn’t cancel last minute. It would be great if they’re reasonably priced too. If you’ve had a good (or bad) experience, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks!

Posting this because I made a very avoidable homeowner mistake and maybe someone else can skip it. I got a robot vacuum mostly because we’re busy and tired. Not because I thought it would replace deep cleaning. I still know corners exist. I know baseboards exist. I know the sticky spot under the dining table requires a human with shame and a rag. I just wanted the floors to stop getting gross so fast between actual cleaning. So last night, after the kids were asleep, I thought: perfect. Let it run now. The house is quiet, nobody is walking around, maybe I’ll wake up to slightly less chaos. The vacuum part was fine. Quieter than expected. I was honestly impressed. Then it went back to the dock and emptied itself. It sounded like a shop vac fell down an elevator shaft. Dog barked. Baby monitor lit up. One kid yelled. My wife looked at me like she was trying to decide whether this counted as a home improvement project or a marital crime. So here is my PSA: if you’re buying one because you don’t have time or energy to clean during the day, test the entire routine before you schedule it at night. The vacuum. The docking. The self-emptying. The beeps. The app alerts. The “quiet mode” that apparently does not apply to the part that sounds like airport equipment. Also, I learned too late that some models let you delay auto-emptying until morning. That seems… important. For anyone who uses one in a real busy household, what schedule actually works? Early evening? Midday? No auto-empty after a certain hour? High-traffic zones only? I’m not trying to automate deep cleaning. I’m just trying not to spend my last ounce of energy sweeping crumbs at 10pm.
