What apps for the Apple watch do you think are must have?

I'm curious to hear from everybody who has an Apple Watch: what apps do you think are worth getting, whether they're paid or free, that are better than some of the apps that come on the Apple Watch, or that you think have been life-changing for you?

My Review of Plaud Note Pro

I've had my Plaud Note Pro now for maybe 2 weeks. Give or take. I've used it for short snippets and long 3 hour sessions. I use it as a writer to get out my ideas for the day, outline etc.

I've recorded a Whatts app conversation outloud and it was so clear.

I've charged it. It charges fast. (My tip is make sure its in the sleeve before you charge as it helps the charging cable stay connected)

I've updated it on the prompt to upgrade firmware

I've used a template available for free

I've shared it over to my mac with one click

And I have to say this thing is a beast. I was close to purchasing the competitor to this before i bought this but I'm glad I bought Plaud note pro. It sits on the back on my iphone, ready whenever I am.

Thank You Plaud team for making a product that just simply works and works well.

Now... could it all go belly up tommorow? Sure, tech can fail, I could drop it. But so far, it definitely gets 5 stars

Inaccuracy pro member - refund?

Today I decided to get the pro version of Super Whisper, and now I'm starting to think that maybe it wasn't the best choice. It keeps changing the words. Its leaving out punctuation. It doesn't matter what I pick—whether I choose different voice, different LLMS like Chat GTP, Gemini, or any of them or even just This is not accurate at all. This is not accurate at all! Thank God there is a 30-day money-back guarantee on this because I'm eady to get my money back. This isn't cool, bro.

In fact you can see above what it screwed up. (the part of even just This is). It left out something i said and left out punctuation.

Now to see if Superwhisper honors their advertised 30 day money back guarantee as so far they haven't responded to my email request.

Which is best setting for voice and LLM?

So i have the pro model I've not changed much inside. I'm british but live in USA

I have both models set as:

Voice - S1-Voice
LLM - Gemini 3.1 flashlite

I can select many models for voice and many for llm

Which are the most accurate and fastest? Still finding it very inaccurate. Doesn't put words in. Changes words. Leaves out punctuation.

How to stop Superwhisper changing what i say into something else - pro member

I understand the software tries to clean up what you say. But when it changes entire sentences into something else that then changes the "meaning" of what i said. That is not helpful and im sure its a custom instruction that needs changing. So, how can i ensure what I say is what is showing up Vs Having something else show up?

My setup: I have mac air. But mostly use this on my iphone 15.

Settings inside:

Mode 1: Voice model S1-voice
LLM Gemini 3.1 Flash lite

Mode 2: same as above:

Custom instructions on both are: Reformat the users message. fix grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Remove fill words like "um" and "Uh". Break long content into paragrraphs. Keep the original tone and meaning. Only output the cleaned text nothing else.

Beware of Skool memberships for ai writing or writers

I've been debating on whether or not to post this. I won't name names (though i would love to as i think it might put an end to the scam) but will keep things short and sweet.

Be wary of any AI Writing Skool membership who offer AI writing systems with plugins. Paying for programs is perfectly fine from a site where you hand over money and get the product or program immediately. I've bought many programs, including AI-specific ones and gained access immediately.

What I find deplorable, dishonest and damn right slimy, and the main reason why I'm posting here (so that no one else wastes hard-earned money) is to warn like-minded people to absolutely avoid paying money to join a Ai Skool community. It could be considered a bit of a cult, and most surely a scam, plain and simple. Why? Two reasons. First, even though you are a paying member, you are forced to post, like and comment on posts in order to gain level-up points before you can gain access to material your membership says you get beyond a few basic videos. (often just a welcome video in my case).

Example: You are lured in with a FREE TRIAL on $5, $47 and $97 plans (with $97 plan being where you will be given it all - assumedly). Don't hold your breath. It doesn't matter which one you select you will enter and most of the material inside is LOCKED even to your membership tier. Meaning you will have to wait 2 days, 4 days, 7 days, 8 days, 10 days for things to unlock because the OWNER decides "Your brain cant handle it" and so they decide when you seem fit to get access to that material. In the meantime they force you to create posts, comment and like. ( basically be their monkey to make their membership area look busy) So you enter at level 1 and some videos require 10 points, 20, 60, 100 points. Which means even though you PAID already, you cant gain access to those until you get those amount of points. So how do you get them? Waiting for people to LIKE your comments or posts. Meaning if no one likes any of your stuff, you remain at the same level LOCKED out of content. (but you have paid). That's the first reason.

Now this doesn't foster community. It fosters sycophantic groupthink (which is a workplace or social dynamic where people blindly agree with the boss or the majority to protect their status, rather than pointing out real problems) Its scam behavior and it's just plain gross and cringy. When I pay money, I'm owed something. (its called FAIR SUSTAINABLE EXCHANGE) I'm not owed first-grade icebreaker side quests in order to gain more information that I had seemingly already paid for or told... oh we give you everything but later in a few months once we get more money from you.

Second reason for this specific one I joined - On top of that PLUGINS said to be in the top tier are only given out on a drip basis. Why you ask? So the owner can get $97 x as many months as you will stay in (6 to 9 in this case) from you before you get them vs just making them available in what they advertised upfront was $97 but they don't explain that fully. No they explain it clearly in detail ONCE YOUR INSIDE not before you've handed over money.

Then to add insult to injury when someone in the community said, one of the plugins doesn't work she said "a lot are because of a recent claude update". Oh that's lovely so people hung in there paid more each month only to get non-functional plugins. But hey, ho, you don't care because you got your $97 for the month.

Now my opinion on this business model was confirmed when I posted a comment in the main area and in a direct comment voicing my displeasure about having to jump through hoops after paying for a product in order to gain access to said product. I also said that it was not clearly stated upfront before joining. That is dishonest.

One thing I told the owner that if you go into a dealership to buy a car for $50,000. They dont give you a wheel the first month, the steering wheel the next month, the seats the next month, the engine the next month.

The owner said her membership wasn't for me and removed and banned me.

Superwhisper monthly vs lifetime — do cloud models require your own API key on lifetime?

I’m trying to understand the real difference between Superwhisper monthly and Superwhisper lifetime, especially when it comes to model access.

Am I correct in thinking that if I pay monthly, I get access to the cloud models Superwhisper offers, such as Gemini, Claude, etc., without needing to provide my own API keys?

But if I buy the lifetime option, I don’t pay monthly anymore, but I would need to provide my own API keys for any cloud-based models I want to use, like Gemini or Claude?

Basically, is the main tradeoff that monthly includes hosted model access, while lifetime is more of a one-time app purchase where cloud model usage is bring-your-own-API-key?

Just want to make sure I understand this properly before deciding whether monthly or lifetime makes more sense.

No modes or delete history or prompts?

I've been using Whisper Flow for a while, but now it requires payment. I looked at other services like Super Whisper, Voiceink, which let you set up modes for different styles (e.g., comments, chat, emails) and can automatically delete audio history after intervals like 5 min, 10 min, 24 h, 1 week, or 1 month. They also have a prompts option to define formatting for each mode. I don’t see these features in Whisper Flow. Are they unavailable?

wisprflow vs superwhisper for paid?

I've used both companies but i cant tell which one is best (most accurate) and with the least amount of issues? With neither i cant do dialogue and there are limitations. So its basically used for emails or commenting on reddit.

Any advice appreciated on which one to go with paid.

Superwhisper is cheaper as its a one time payment or $8 a month

But whispr flow has some great features to but costs more per month at $12 a month

Scott Scheper Penpreneur book & Newsletter Review

You may have seen his ads for Penpreneur. First off, I want this to be clear that I have nothing against Scott or even what he is putting out there. But I do think the marketing is so vague that it can waste a lot of peoples time and shipping money and other money if they get caught up in his funnel.

This review will help you make an informed decision.

So you will have seen the ads for Scott Scheper, Penpreneur or Scott Scheper Newsletter online.

Yes, I have read both.

I paid $4.95 to enter the funnel but he tries to upsell you immediately with videos, another physical book (3 day write a book) in order to get you into his newsletter.

My honest opinion: at $97 for a physical newsletter, I think it is wildly overpriced for what you get. The issue I received was roughly around ten pages, and the information inside felt very general. Most of it was the kind of advice you could find online for free. I could see him selling for $10 a month but not $97 or even $47 (which is what i think it was at one point). As its really only one tidbit of insights he gives you in about 10 pages.

The one I read was basically about delegating, automating, eliminating, and using AI. (even though he advocates in his marketing to avoid AI he uses it) The irony was not lost. That was more or less the substance of it. I did not find any unique insight, system, or “secret” that justified the price.

One thing I found ironic is that Scott often criticizes “crapGPT,” yet some of the writing in the printed newsletter has signs that, to me, feel very AI-assisted: lots of em dashes, familiar phrasing, and that overly polished ChatGPT rhythm. Obviously I cannot prove that, but after reading enough AI-written content, you start to recognize the patterns.

To be fair, Scott is good at marketing. I will give him that. He knows how to create hype, write offers, and move people through a funnel. But a lot of the marketing approach feels heavily influenced by people like Russell Brunson, Ben Settle, Dan Kennedy, and other direct-response marketers.

From what I can see, the larger goal is to pull you into his GreenLamp service.

The funnel starts with a free-plus-shipping book, usually Penpreneur or Antinet Zettelkasten ( you just pay shipping at $4.95). After that, you are offered upsells, one-time offers, video bonuses, discounts, membership, and trials. At prices ranging from $90 to $295. If you click no thanks he offers it for about $10 or for a free trial where he will bill your card if you dont return things within 30 days. Best of luck getting things back to him in time as it takes about 5 to 15 days to get things from him.

One of the offer upsells I saw was about writing a book in three days. In my opinion, the only useful idea there was the visual method of organizing your thoughts with cards on a table: front matter, main content, and back matter. That part was interesting, but not worth the price of the offer as that info is already out there.

And realistically, most people are not going to write a finished, polished book in three days even if they dictate (which is what he advocates0. Drafting is one thing. Editing, revising, formatting, and making it actually good takes much longer.

As for Penpreneur, the core idea in the book is basically this: use a physical book as a free lead magnet to get people into paid physical newsletter (like his). That is not a bad concept, but his book seems designed to lead you toward using GreenLamp to do this. (Notice the upsell?)

GreenLamp appears to be his platform/service for building that kind of funnel. But from my own digging, the print-on-demand and shipping side seems to be handled by the company Print Bind Ship out of Taylor, Michigan. So it does not appear that Scott himself owns the printing/shipping infrastructure. It looks like GreenLamp is packaging the process and charging for access, setup, and convenience.

The way I see it, you could probably build something similar yourself using your own website, email platform, payment processor, and a direct relationship with a print/ship provider like Print Bind Ship or various other print on demand publishing.

So my overall takeaway...

If you are brand new to direct-response marketing, funnels, physical newsletters, or book-as-lead-magnet strategies, you might get a few ideas from Scott’s material. (so you decide). But if you have already studied Russell Brunson, Dan Kennedy, Ben Settle, info-product funnels, or basic author marketing, I do not think Penpreneur or the newsletter are worth the money.

For me, it was not worth it.

Hope that helps.

P.S. Scott appears to be a decent guy, a family man, someone looking to offer a legit service (green lamp) using funnel system marketing and physical products. I do not see any issue in that. While it is definitely 'not' a scam, it falls into the grey area by luring people in with vague information and upsells. Hopefully this helps clarify what is being offered in the book Penpreneur and the Scott Scheper Newsletter. Could it work for you? Maybe. But utlimately when you are giving away a free book, you still have to cover the cost of getting it printed and shipped and i assure you $4.95 will not cover that. So you are going to be on the hook for that. But hey, thats where the newsletter tries to cover that. Best of luck convincing people to pay $97 for a physical newsletter.
