How are you calm?
I'm 25 years old, man and I have type 1 diabetes since I was 17 and celiac disease a month ago.
I didn't think about the possibility of developing more autoimmune diseases, but now I don't know what to think.
It's very difficult for me to fall asleep, I think for hours different scenarios with different future problems.
If there is someone else with type 1 diabetes and more autoimmune diseases, give me tips on how to keep calm
Thank u
I'm a 25-year-old male. I've had type 1 diabetes since I was 17 and celiac disease for a month. In February, I'll have had fasciculations all over my body for two years. Imagine everything that went through my head with that diagnosis.
I saw several neurologists, had an electromyography (EMG) test—everything was normal! A brain MRI was also fine! But I was still scared and didn't understand what was happening.
The neurologists told me that all of this was possibly due to my generalized anxiety and stress (you know, the usual). I thought it was the worst.
And here I am! Two years later, I still have spasms when I'm nervous or anxious. When I'm feeling well, I honestly go days without noticing them (even though they're still there).
Don't let anything stop you, live life, take advantage of it, and enjoy it!
If you're going through a tough time, you can talk to me!
I'm new to the gluten-free world (less than a month). My boss suggested we all go to a coffee shop tomorrow for breakfast as a team. What kind of coffee do you usually order in places like this to avoid cross-contamination? Espresso? Or do you prefer not to have any at all?
