Are you able to minor in something halfway through school?

I'm a biology major going into my second year of community college next month, and I'm considering minoring in psychology since I really enjoy it and have already taken some psych classes (2 last year and 1 in HS). The issue is that I don't know much about minors in college and how they work. Is it worth it or even possible? Would it open up more potential job opportunities, or it it just kind of a bonus? Also not sure if it would delay graduation or not. Any advice is appreciated

When were you guys able to go back to normal lifting?

I'm 2 weeks post-op and today my surgeon said I can start lifting either up to or over 20 pounds (I can't remember which one) which is weird because the post op instructions they originally gave me were that I couldn't lift more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks after surgery, so I'm just curious as to what you guys were told

Inpatient OCD treatment?

Does anyone have experience with OCD-specific inpatient treatment? I've been dealing with severe OCD for years and nothing has helped, so I've been considering doing an OCD residential or partial hospitalization program. I've been in general therapy for 5 years, ERP with an OCD specialist for 2 years, been on 17 different medications, have done a general partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program. If it matters I've also been diagnosed with bipolar 2, BPD, ADHD, and PTSD, but my main concern is treating the OCD since it's always been the hardest thing for me to get under control. It would be nice if the place is trauma/PTSD informed too though since that does affect my OCD. I'm hoping to find somewhere on the west coast that accepts Regence BlueCross BlueShield insurance, so any advice or experiences are greatly appreciated! I've been doing my own research but I've found very few places that specifically say they do ERP and want to hear from other people. Also if age and gender matter I'm a young adult man

I'm a trans man pretty far into my transition- AMA

Figured I'd answer any questions people might have about this stuff and offer advice if it's wanted (assuming that these kinds of posts are allowed) :)

I'm on testosterone, have had a legal name and gender change, top surgery, am currently recovering from a hysterectomy, and am on a wait list for a bottom surgery consultation

Can there be breaks in hypomanic episodes?

I've been diagnosed with bipolar 2 for over a year now (but have had symptoms for years) and have been wondering about this for a while. Sometimes there will be a few hours or even a day or so during an episode where symptoms kinda reduce a bit then go back up. It's happened recently too- these past few days I've been experiencing hypomanic symptoms (sleeping less, racing thoughts, being physically unable to stay still, irritability, extra energy, etc) but I woke up super tired this morning and was pretty sluggish for an hour or two, then the rest of today has been kinda mixed where I'm still having hypo symptoms but sometimes they're less intense and kinda come and go. Idk if this is normal at all. I feel like I'm forgetting something or not putting stuff into words right but yeah. Thanks to anyone who gives any insight!

My psychiatrist is thinking of having me try naltrexone for OCD since I've tried all of the go-to meds for it and more (been on 16 psych meds in total, 17 if you count one that I take for headaches but is also used to treat anxiety) and there have been some studies showing that it may help treat OCD (primarily compulsions) in some people. One main reason that I'm hesitant is I'm a trans man and have several surgeries planned over the next few years, so (assuming that the hospital might give me opioids after some of the more intense ones) I would probably have to kinda be on and off of it. I also would ideally like to be able to drink, but I'd be willing to give that up if it did end up helping with my OCD. Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated. At this point I'm willing to do anything to find something that'll work for my OCD, I'm just concerned about how it might make things hard with surgeries
