HR meeting

F60 - Very successful career and positive feedback for years. Company sold to capital equity firm and I don’t get along with new manager who is not from the same industry and is a marketing person while I’m in sales. She said today that my behavior has been reported to HR. I contacted HR and they scheduled a meeting with me for Thursday. Past experience tells me this will not go well for me. Any advice?

Married men suck

I guess I’m still triggered by married men hitting on me. And when I see posts saying “bored married male looking for penpal or whatever” - it just infuriates me. Fix your home life before you damage people that you once cared about with your behavior. It disgusts me. Your soul is ugly.

It was a good week

Work has been a struggle for a few months since most executives have been replaced with corporate robots who couldn’t care less about the industry or the people who made the company successful. But this week was good. It was productive and I had some really great wins and one message “you’re my hero” was timely and a Friday afternoon note “I appreciate you” made me feel much better. It’s Sunday now and once again I dread Monday. So I’ll continue to feel good knowing my colleagues and I are still connected, and there are many who know my worth.

How do I stay motivated?

It’s July and we still haven’t been given our annual goals including sales quota. We are on a calendar year. I’m having a hard time staying motivated when I don’t know what my sales quota is. New owner, new boss, new executive leadership team. Where do I go? HR has been unresponsive.

Broke my rule!

I’m 60f and I made a rule years ago that I would not chase a man and if he wanted my phone number he would ask. My impatience and impulsiveness got the best of me the other night and I gave my card to a man who I run into every now and again through mutual interests. Now I’m completely regretting it and I feel like I made the friendship awkward since I haven’t heard from him. My brain says he’s just not that into you. Dang it.

Should we date anyway?

60f - I’ve been chatting with a man I met on FB dating, but some of his passions do not interest me. I’m willing to go on a date with this man to say hi but I don’t really think we have a future because he seems very engaged in something that I’m not engaged in. (Multiple concerts per month.) Am I wasting his time by going on a date with him?

Update: I wanted to be honest with him, so I told him I’d like to meet for a drink but I’m concerned that I don’t share the same passion as he has for attending so many concerts. I’ll let him decide if he wants to continue getting to know each other.
