English Retro Haul from Messiuu / England 06 / Chelsea 97/99 / Man Utd 90/92

With all the delays caused by the surge of World Cup orders, factory raids, and raids at my local customs, these took 22 days arrive, instead of the usual 14 days from past orders I had with them.

England 2006 Home kit

Size: XL

They reached the World Cup’s quarter-final, where they lost in the penalties against Portugal, which has become one of the greatest moments of Portugal’s national team history with Ricardo defending pens without gloves being the icon of this. Besides that, it’s also one of my favourite England jerseys.

England’s crest has almost all the material and types you can get. The shield is a stitched on fabric patch, the “England” above it is embroidered, and the star is heat pressed vinyl. Umbro’s logo is embroidery too, and the tag at the bottom is rubber.

On the inside of the collar there’s a knit Saint George’s cross and below it a soft fabric piece with part of England's shield screen printed. They’re neat details.

The flocking is looking great, and above Beckham there’s an embroidered England flag in a diamond shape.

As for the fit, even though I already sized up once to get a more roomier fit, this turned out fitting like a normal fan version jersey in size L. It’s still comfortable due to it’s soft fabric, but not the baggier fit I usually get with other XL sizes. The neck hole and collar are fitting nicely.

Chelsea 97/99 Home

Size: XL

This turned out prettier than what I expected and has become my favorite Chelsea kit, and one where the long sleeve really adds to it above the short sleeve version.

Umbro’s logo is embroidered and looks close to the original. Chelsea’s crest is a fabric patch. As for the felt elements, the sponsor is really thick and hard, while the sleeve patches are thinner and softer. Both of them are well applied on the jersey. There’s a heat applied fabric patch at the bottom too.

On the England kit, the detail that made me love it is the red cross on the right shoulder, on this one is the, more subtle, black and yellow lines running on the collar and through the sleeves. The lines on the sleeve are stitched on, and while on the original it seems like they were straight, the wavy pattern they assume on this rep makes me like it more.

Nothing to complain about the flocking again. It’s correct and done well. Above Zola there’s an umbro patch that’s only stitched on the sides, it’s like a part you could hang the jersey from.

This one is fitting like the XL size I’m used to for rep jerseys. A little bit roomy but not that oversized look from the 90s. It’s my best fitting long sleeve jersey. Perfect neckline and collar fit. The sleeves aren’t too straight and slim looking but also not too oversized, and they end on some embracing knitted cuffs.

Manchester United Away 90/92

Size: XL

The oldest retro of this England retro haul, but also the most famous one. It’s the snowflake kit.

United’s crest, the trefoil and the “Sharp” sponsor are all made of felt, but the sponsor is crooked. The shoulder stripes is a single band of knitted fabric, but thinner than the one used for the neckline.

This just has the number 11 for Giggs. No name because this is from before player’s names were used on jerseys. It’s also a really beautiful font, Adidas did great with their fonts in the 90s.

It also follows the expected fit for an XL, and does have a perfect neckline too.

As I did with all the jerseys here, I sized up once from my normal size because the originals were baggier than what these reps are. It’s still not like the originals, but closer than a slim fit if you went true to size. Size up at least once, is my rec.

1996 Germany Away and Turkey Home from CCLDD

Germany Away 1996

Turkey Home 1996

Another Adidas 90s iconic jersey template.

They are both in size XL, and Turkey’s is just slightly bigger by 1cm in chest width and length to Germany’s.

Same template but their collars are different. Germany’s is wider and shorter with DFB embroidered, and Turkey’s narrower and longer. When worn there isn’t much of a difference, a bit deeper v-neck on Turkey’s.

I took Turkey’s jersey out first, so when I saw Germany’s crest off center, it made me think they made a mistake, and I had to double check it. Its positioning is correct.

Turkey’s crest is a stitched fabric patch, and Germany’s completely embroidered.

On both jerseys, the 3 stripes are screen printed, and the fabric features a jacquard with some of their symbols. The official garment patch and Germany’s flag at the back are stitched on, while the garment patch is a heat-pressed fabric patch…

Sammer for being Germany’s best player and 1996 Ballon d’Or, and Hakan Sukur for Turkey’s all time. It was weird finding out that you can’t even mention Hakan now in Turkey due to political reasons, and had to flee to the United States where he’s doing odd jobs like Uber and selling books.

Kitddm review - AC Milan 93/94 CL Jersey and Valencia 99/00 home

AC Milan 93/94 Champions League Home

Size: XL (Measures like a 4XL fan version)

There aren't a lot of variations on Milan kits, so it mostly comes down to the details or the history of a jersey.

I find this 93/94 to be one of the best looking ones, and with it being the Champions League, and so without a sponsor, made this into one I had to get.

With Lotto’s logo being embroidered and the scuddeto, star, and Champions League patches being stitched, and no sponsor, this makes it into a perfect jersey to just wear without any care on whether anything will peel off, because there’s nothing to peel off.

The fabric has a jacquard consisting of a pattern with Milan’s crest and Lotto’s logo.

This one is really baggy, far above any retro rep of the same XL size. It has almost 62 cm chest width and 81 cm length. For comparison, with these measurements, it would be exactly a 4XL fan version jersey. I usually wear L and XL reps, where they fit me slim or regular, but with this I get a clear oversized look. Even with it being big, the neck hole and collar are fitting great.

Valencia 99/00 Home

Size XL

The most beautiful Valencia rep that I’ve seen until now. Valencia’s shield is a fabric patch where the head of the bat is made of the actual stitching of it. The Luanvi logo is embroidery and the Terra Mítica sponsor is the normal heat pressed vinyl you can find on most jerseys.

It also has 3 stitched tags from Luanvi at the bottom of the shirt, inside the neck, and on the left side of the jersey.

The fabric is a soft polyester with a warm feel to it, and the collar and sleeve ends are knitted.

This one is a standard XL size rep, like most that I’ve had. Not too baggy nor slim fit, but I did size up from my normal L wear to get this. The orange undershirt section is at the correct height and covering above the collarbone, and the collar is great too.

Portugal Home 2010 Player Version from FOTNN

Portugal 2010 Home Player Version

Size: XL
Player Version

This is the retro player version of the 2010 kit and since Portugal’s crest is a stitched fabric patch and Nike’s swoosh is embroidered, the difference of this jersey to the retro fan version should be about the fabric and the fit.

The red dots on the green band are heat pressed vinyl, as are the green bands on the sleeves and the one at the back of the neck.

The fabrics are different between the front, sides and back, but clearly the breathable type of player versions. The front and side fabrics are a more regular and compact fabric. The side fabric features big holes for breathability, and are reinforced on the inside with heat pressed vinyl. The fabric on the back is different and has perforations.

The fit is definitely slimmer like what you expect from a player version. For reference, I would put this XL fitting like a small L fan version rep jersey. All that said, I would still follow the golden rule of sizing up once for the player version with this one.

This one is a standard XL size rep, like most that I’ve had. Not too baggy nor slim fit, but I did size up from my normal L wear to get this. The orange undershirt section is at the correct height and covering above the collarbone, and the collar is great too.

Portugal 2010 Home Player Version from FOTNN

[Review] Schalke 10/11 - Portugal 02 - Germany from CUSJY3

Portugal 2002 Home

Size: XL

Portugal’s golden generation reached their peak in 2002 and the expectations for the team were high. 2 years before they exited Euro 2000 in a controversial semi-final game against France.
They arrived in South Korea & Japan after a few weeks in Macao, where the climate was completely different from the host nation’s, and the players spent most of their time gambling and infighting. The players were completely out of breath, and with another controversial game, as were most of South Korea’s, they exited the group stage after the most disappointing performance ever.

At least we got some banger kits. Both logos are embroidery. There are some sections with a perforated fabric, like the green parts, and the part below the stitched yellow line at the back, but most of the jersey is made out of a paper-like feeling fabric, the same as some other Nike kits from this era.

As always for most retros from the early 2000s I go a size up for a roomier fit that should be closer to the original, instead of the modern slimmer cut that most reps have. I wouldn’t be surprised if this XL is close to the size of an original M from 2002, it does have a retro slightly oversized fit. I’m not a fan of the neckline but it’s exactly fitting like the original one from the photos I’m seeing.

Schalke Home kit 10/11

Size: XL

Schalke’s most popular kit, especially because of the legendary player that wore it.

Schalke’s crest and the Adidas logo, which they moved up to the shoulders, are embroidered. While the Gazprom sponsor and the “Thousand friends that stay together” tag on the inside of the neck are made of heat pressed vinyl.

The fabric and the collar are soft and comfortable, and the front of the collar has 2 buttons that are easy to fasten.

The flocking is done well, it’s centered and doesn’t have any edges lifting off. As for the name, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone on here get one that wasn’t a Raúl name set. There were a lot of great names on the team, most of them would become world renowned in the future, but for this season, nobody beats Raul.

I had to undo the top bottom to get my head through, and the collar is fitting like what you expect from a normal polo. If I fasten the top button again, the collar is hugging my neck.

It’s just slightly slimmer than other reps I have of the same XL size, but not tight due to the comfortable fabric. Think of it like a regular fit if you go a size above your normal one.

Germany 1996 Home kit

Size: XL

The beautiful Euro 1996 winning kit. It has some really neat design choices that make it stand out for me.

They turned Germany’s crest into a shield that makes it look like a shirt pocket. It’s not embroidered but a thick fabric patch with a sheet of thin cardboard or paper inside.
With adidas taking the center of the jersey, the front number moved over to the right side of the chest, and together with the big Germany’s crest, makes the front of the jersey balanced. There’s also a stitched official garment patch at the bottom of the shirt.

The fabric is heavy and with the same jacquard you can find on other Germany jerseys from the 90s. Adidas’ shoulder stripes are a single band of knitted polyester.

It’s a beautiful and interesting font used for the name set, it’s thin and elegant, which contrasts to the blocky and thick fonts used mostly during this time.
As for the name, Oliver Bierhoff is the Euro 1996 hero. He comes on at the final with Germany losing 1-0 to Czechia, scores the equalizer taking the game to extra time, to finally score the golden goal and crowning Germany Europe’s champions.

I sized up to an XL for a roomier fit. Most of the retro reps follow a modern jersey cut and not like the original from the 90s. Its fitting is more like a slightly roomier regular L size T-shirt.

The collar features 2 buttons, which I didn’t have to undo to get my head through the neck hole, but the collar is sitting perfectly.

Speiv review - Atlético 04/05 and Mexico 2026 shorts

Atlético Madrid Home 04/05

Size: XL

Known as the Spider Man kit, even though Atlético had multiple sponsor during the season, this is without a doubt the most famous and sought after one.

It’s a T90 template with the Spider-Man 2 sponsor being screen printed on the fabric. Atlético’s crest is a stitched fabric patch and the swoosh is embroidery.

I don’t see anything to complain about the flocking, there’s no lifting on the edges and it looks well aligned. Depending on how much of a perfectionist you’re you could argue that the number could be 1 or 2 mm to the right, but I find this to be negligible.

Nothing much to talk about El Niño Fernando Torres, if you look at this seasons team, you would definitely pick him to printed on the shirt.

As iconic as Nike’s T90 template is, I’m not a fan of how it feels on the top of the back, the blue part. It feels a bit constraining even when going a size up, but it’s mostly due to the templates stitching, still it’s not something that would stop me from wearing it. The neckline is good.

Mexico WC26 3rd kit shorts from SPEIV

Size: L

Fan version

I’ve measured their with at 34.5 cm. I picked true to size and they fit well. No problem with the waist, and they’re fitting slim due to my large thighs.

The trefoil is embroidered and México’s crest is a fabric patch stitched on. The fabric is softer but the same thickness as a jersey.

AC Milan 93/94 Home Champions League & Valencia 99/00 Home from KitDDm

AC Milan 93/94 Champions League Home kit

Size: XL (But it's fitting like 4XL)
