Denon AVR1909

Is this worth paying to be repaired or is it considered a straight replacement?

Whathifi suggests that the Sony TA-AN1000 is the one to go for at the moment as a replacement.

As I haven’t bought an AVR for nearly 20 years what features should be considered these days?

Same system since 2007

I’ve had the same home theatre system since 2007.
Denon AVR 1909
Monitor Audio Radius 220 left, right and center
Monitor Audio Radius 90 rears
Monitor Audio Silver RSW12 Sub

The RSW12 has just gone in for repair as it started popping and sounded like it was going microphonic and the 1909 has now started tripping to safety after the unit gets hot.

if the sub is repairable I just need suggestions on a new amp. If the sub also needs replacing I need suggestions on a comparable one.

But I guess the real question is… would the speakers then be holding the system back compared to just replacing everything?

No rider aids in 2026?

I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 20 years on and off road. Most of those bikes without any ride aids. But in this day and age I struggle to see why you would choose to ride without ABS etc.

For those of you that do, how do you feel about it?
