Sharing A Proud Collecting Milestone

Really happy to finally possess a Steadman print. I thought of his work when I started collecting 2 years ago. Hoping I would be able to own or at least temporarily own his work. I was obsessed with HST when I was younger and still am. What do you think? This is from Steadman's 'Sarajevo Series' there are 14 styles each with a letter. So this is the 14th print of this monotype in the 'S' series of the Sarajevo Series'.

Also, there is a video of Steadman creating this very design at the 'Peacock, Print Stuio' in 1993. It is so endearing and funny you should watch it. I will post a link.

Possible 18th Century Chinese Fragment With Hunting Scene w/Provenance from "Eddy Chang's"

Purchase for ten$ in Buffalo, Minnesota. It is a parchment fragment matted onto a modern wood panel. The rear of the frame has a retail sticker from "Eddy Chang's Co INC, Framing & Antiques". Chang has a storied career running an Asian antiquities and art gallery in Seoul, South Korea, adding to the provenance. There are remnants of gilding on the horse poms and the cuffs of the characters. The image was matted in the current fragmented condition.

Wondering what era this may be from? Is there a retail market for similar work?

Thanks,

Apparent Original Painting. Damage is Extensive But Detail and Central Characters Intact

Purchased at an estate sale in Buffalo, MN for $5.

At first glance I thought it might be depicting the legend of Temujin (Genghis Kahn) killing his brother, Behter on a hunting trip.

It does appear to be old due to the condition. Possibly painted on paper applied to board.

The damage is unfortunate, but I am pleased that the most important characters and depictions are intact. (noted the detailed duck falling from the sky, pierced by an arrow center top of paionting.

Under my 30x loupe it does appear to be an original painting.

Any information on what it is depicting, age or artist, please let me know.

Thanks,

Lee N. Smith III AP Litho, 'Dance for the Hunt'

I recently acquired this print from my corporate job. They occasionally offload framed art, mostly prints, that don't belong in the collection or people have asked to remove. This would be a very strange image to have in your c-suite corporate office. I ask Everyone that visits my home, "what do you think this image is trying to communicate?"

So I ask ya'll. What the hell is going on in this image? Is this typical of his work. I bought it because I am drawn to anything I find very unusual. And this is by far the most inexplicable print I have in my collection.

Seller Said Pendant Was Vintage Tibetan. Modern Necklace? Green Colors Don't Quite Match.

Estate sale with a lot of beautiful silver and turquoise jewelry. Two were labeled as vintage Tibetan. No Jewelers marks and crud around metal was Rusty brown. When I saw the price ($50) I made the assumption it was not real silver but white metal nickel copper something. Wanted to post here to see if anyone has similar pieces or if they know what the stone above the pendant is whether Pearl or abalone? Any info would be appreciated. I'd like some opinions about what where who why when. Thanks

Horrific Ai Generated Images From Adobe Stock

Working in a design studio, an image with a phantom leg sticking out of the couch and a man seemingly growing out of the kitchen table. All in one Ai generated photo that NO ONE notices until it was almost in production. I could not believe the poor quaility of what I am seeing everyday. Videos with people running through walls. Not sure why but Phantom limbs seemingly everywhere it's a mess. Is there anyway to contact the creator or Adobe to give them a heads up on the most atrocious violators? Someone is going to get into serious trouble when they find that what they thought they purchased is actually a hack job ai demon asset.

Thanks,
