Anyone get PSMP +3 covered by Porsche for extremely long delay?

For those who got their allocation delayed by a lot of months, did you get any compensation or free credit from Porsche like PSMP +3? If so, how long was your delay compared to when you were originally expected to receive your car?

If you got a PSMP plus a different number, please comment below also with the exact length that you got and how long your delay was.

Does Waze show turn-by-turn directions in the 992.2 instrument cluster?

For anyone with a MY2026 992.2 using Apple CarPlay and the latest version of Waze: does Waze show the turn-by-turn arrow/distance popup in the instrument cluster?

I know Google Maps does this, but I’ve seen conflicting reports about Waze. I’m specifically asking about the turn-by-turn popup, not the full Waze map.

Delayed 2026 911 arriving alongside 2027 models - would you still take delivery?

I have a 2026 911 that was built in June but has been significantly delayed and is now expected to arrive in October. Around that same time, the 2027 models should also start arriving.

Would you still take delivery of the 2026, or would you walk away and try to get a new allocation for a 2027?

My deposit is fully refundable, and I have plenty of other Porsche dealers in my area that I could order from. My main concern is resale value. If I can potentially get a 2027 for roughly the same price and with similar delivery timing, I’m having a hard time seeing why I should take a 2026 that is effectively arriving a model year old.

Would you expect the resale-value difference between an otherwise identical 2026 and 2027 to be significant enough to justify switching?

Does Carbonio’s 992.2 ACC no-drill plate mount block the front camera?

Just saw this photo on Carbonio’s website for its 992.2 no-drill front license plate mount. You can see the plate blocks the top portion of the front camera view.

My car has adaptive cruise control, so I would need the ACC-compatible version. For anyone using that version, does the front edge of the plate still appear at the top of the camera image?

I cannot tell whether Carbonio’s photo shows the standard mount or the ACC-compatible mount

Remote park assist = remote start?

Online lots of places say that Porsche doesn't have remote start but if you have the remote park assist option where the car can get out of a parking spot for you, then by definition, won't you also have remote start? The car needs to start remotely first before moving for you, right? I know it sounds obvious but wanted to check because online sources are conflicting

Anyone receive a dealer discount or goodwill compensation for a 1+ month port delay on a new 911?

My custom 911 has been stuck at the port for over a month beyond the original expected timeline. It's super frustrating because I now have to change my plans for it (was gonna take a roadtrip). I'm curious if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

Did your dealer or Porsche provide any goodwill compensation because of the delay?

  • Cash discount off MSRP?
  • Waived dealer/doc fees?
  • Something else?
  • Nothing at all?

If you did receive something, what model was it, how long was the delay, and approximately how much did you receive? I'm trying to figure out what's realistic before I ask my dealer.

Anyone else's 911 getting stuck at port?

My 911 was built in June and arrived at port on June 18. Since then, it's missed 3 boats. Called my SA and he said all his 911s are actually stuck now even though his other cars like the Cayennes built more recently made it onto the boat already. Anyone else with a 911 facing the same issue? Wondering if it's a bigger issue

Anyone have success with removing this “dealer handling fee”?

Buying a new 911 now and just realized that dealership is adding this $899 “dealership handling fee” on top of the MSRP, which already includes +$2k of processing fees (2nd pic). Anyone have success getting this additional “dealership handling fee” removed and if so, how did you convince them exactly?

Anyone PPF this door area or is it too OCD?

Has anyone found it worthwhile to PPF the inner door latch area (circled in yellow above)? I was thinking it might help if the seatbelt ever catches on the paint and the door gets accidentally closed, causing a scratch. Curious if anyone has actually had paint issues there, or if this is just me being overly cautious.

Anyone with experience on PPF Console Covers from Amazon?

PPF shops charge a ton for adding PPF to the piano black console cover. I found these precut ones on Amazon for $12. Honestly, it makes sense that it should be this cheap because it's just some pieces of plastic with glue. Anyone tried stuff like this and can report back on the quality?

How to install front bumper license plate?

For the people who live in states that require a front bumper plate, what have you found to be the best solution?

  1. Drill into the front bumper - it sucks but just look the other way and be done with it.

  2. Attach to the tow hook - it's off center but at least the bumper is fine.

  3. Use the Carbonio Front Plate Mount - it uses 3M tape and kinda sketch but it looks good at least.

  4. No front bumper plate even though state requires and I just suck up and pay the fine every now and then.

PPF install - component removal or nah?

I am getting full-body PPF on a new 992 and trying to decide whether I am more likely to regret allowing component removal or regret not allowing it.

I am trying to balance cleaner hidden edges versus reassembly risk. I want a clean install, but I do not want to create rattles, broken clips, alignment issues, or trim problems.

For those who have done PPF on your 911, did you allow the shop to remove parts for cleaner wrapped/tucked edges - for example headlights, bumpers, mirrors, door cards, liners, or trim pieces? Did you regret it or not?

Also curious if anyone had issues afterward, like rattles, broken clips, alignment issues, lifting around headlight/fender edges, or problems when replacing PPF later.

Agreed value or just normal car insurance?

I have a new 911 and I know people are saying that usually it’s better to get agreed value so that you get paid out without depreciation but given the fact that these 911s really have not depreciated (even the used ones), do I really need to get agreed value or will the insurance company just use the market value of the used car that’s around the same price as the new car anyways?

Overlooked issue with STEK?

I know this forum lovvveeessss STEK but one thing I noticed people overlooking is that it yellows faster than XPEL (example from just 2 years):

https://preview.redd.it/rxpemeirqi6h1.png?width=472&format=png&auto=webp&s=5430710ddd61957d84f331af2c801a4a5bbac5f8

I know STEK Dynoshield has better initial gloss and less orange peeling than XPEL but that only really shows up if you angle it perfectly against harsh lighting and look close. The yellowing after a few years can be much more noticeable on a white/light colored car. What am I missing?

Bose can be configured to sound like Burmester

I know everyone on here is talking about how great Burmester is but honestly when I first tried it I only found about like a 10 to 15% improvement in Burmester so then I went back to the dealership and actually tweaked the Bose settings to have:

  1. Surround on
  2. Base up +5
  3. Treble up +5
  4. Fader forward +4 (near the dashboard)

And honestly it was imperceptible from Burmester. Maybe Burmester was still a bit more clear on the high end by 2-3% if I really focused but that’s only perceptible when engine was off and car not moving. This is for 992.2. I’m sure if car engine was on or you’re driving, even that gap would be imperceptible. Just wanted to share to save people that +$4k Burmester fee!

New Porsche 911 delivery: sheet reveal or normal handoff?

Taking delivery of a new 911 soon. For those who bought new Porsche 911's, did your dealer do a sheet reveal / special delivery setup (e.g. pic below), or was it mostly paperwork, walkthrough, and keys?

I can also have my PPF shop pick it up from the dealer in an enclosed trailer for $250, then make my first real drive after PPF is installed.

Curious what you would do:

  1. Go to dealer for the delivery moment?
  2. Send it straight to PPF?
  3. Are sheet reveals (like the pic below) actually common, or mostly a YouTube thing?

Musicar Stage 2 or 3, floorboard foam removal?

Getting a Musicar upgrade installed on my 992 (Bose). Watched the install guide on YouTube and at around the 27:46 mark, you can see them scraping away factory foam/insulation from under the carpet to fit the HELIX DSP amp where the factory Bose amp sits (screenshot below).

Everything else about the install is fully plug-and-play (no holes drilled, no wires cut), but this part isn't reversible. For anyone who's had the Stage 2 or 3 installed - did you notice any difference in the passenger floorboard area afterward? Like a soft spot or anything that feels off underfoot? Also curious if the road noise changed at all in that area.
