Family portraits in the house
My husband's parents are divorced and his dad is remarried. We have a gallery wall in our home with family photos. My husband has great photos of his family when his parents were together, but I'm not allowed to hang them because his dad's current wife will see. I really want my husband's childhood family photos on the wall, but he and his mom don't want to cause trouble or upset his dad's wife. The plan is to frame the pictures and display them in a less conspicuous part of the house. Do any of you have similar situations? Or any thoughts on it?

Was the ethnicity of your nanny important to you?
When we were looking to hire a nanny, her ethnicity was important to us. We are Black Americans and we wanted our nanny to be culturally aligned with our family. There are many immigrant workers who provide nannying services at a lower rate, but we decided to spend more for what we actually wanted. It's important to us. Can anyone relate? Was the ethnicity of your nanny important to you?

Big breakfast with homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, potato rounds, friend chicken tenders, bacon, and eggs.
Fried tilapia, fried shrimp, french fries, baked beans, and cole slaw.
Sweet potato pound cake with caramel and vanilla drizzle.
Black eyed peas with smoked sausage and rice.
Conecuh sausage with soft scrambled cheese eggs, sliced tomatoes, and John Derst toast.
