Need help fixing LED TV backlight (TCL 65c815 )

The TV is made of 2 logic boards and one power supply board.

The TV turns on but there is no backlight, I can see an image by flashing a light to the TV.

I am guessing the two white connectors on the upper left of the power board (1st picture) are for the backlight. Could someone confirm?

When the TV is turned on, the pins of these connectors don't show any voltage.
They also don't seem to be shorted to GND.
I also can't see any burned components.
Other power rails are present on the two logic boards.

I would also like to know where the backlight enable signal is, if there is any. It could just be that the main board is not telling the power supply to turn on the LEDs? But it is hard to tell as the PCB has no marking/silkscreen.

Thanks a lot for any help!

Need help identifying part number of a blown protective circuit on a 4TB SSD

Hi, I'm looking for advice on identifying a blown IC so I can revive a 4TB Samsung SSD.

SSD model: Samsung MZ7LH4T0HAL1

Blown chip (circled in red):

  • Package: DFN-10
  • Marking: A+CLG

The bottom-right three pins (1, 2, 3) are connected to +5 V (see the second picture). Pins 8, 9, and 10 are connected together, and are the output of the chip. I don't know about the other 4 pins.

The underside of the chip looks exactly like the one shown in the third picture.

I have already recovered the data by temporarily bridging the input and output of the chip with a wire.

I'm now looking for a replacement IC so I can repair the SSD and use it safely again.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Bike packing restore project, which one to choose? (follow up post)

Hi again :)

Thanks a lot for all the help and comments on my post yesterday!

As suggested, here is a post with the bikes available on my local marketplace, as I understood I should start with a better base.

I made sure they all have 3 cogs in the front, so I won't struggle in climbs/heels.

Which one would you pick? Any suggestion?

Thanks!

PS: not sure the 3rd was made before 1990, but thought it would be a good option.
PS 2: I looked for the brands/models you suggested, but none are available in my area within my budget.

Restore for bike packing doable?

I have had this old Gottfried bike laying in my garage for a while. I think it's a pretty cool bike.

Before starting restoring it for bike packing I'd like you opinion on this :

Can I swap the rear cassette for a bigger one ? If yes, do I need to change the derailleur as well?
Or the front for a smaller one ?
Or both ? :)

If yes, which part should I look for?

I live in the alps, so there are plenty of steep heels/climbs.

Also, if anyone has experience bike packging with such a bike what do you think of it?

Thank you and have a great day!

Ad preview not showing my ad

Solved : I used the share ad preview to double-check ads, and it was looking fine there.

Hi, as in the title some of my static ad do not show properly in the ad preview panel, despite having 1:1, 9:16, 4:5 and 1.91:1 aspect ratios ads (1440px*1440px, 1440*2560, 1440*1800, 1910*1000).

Should I just ignore it and expect it to work or is there something to do?

Thanks for any help!

First time fixing a ram stick, so I was quite happy with how it went.

Thanks to r/AskElectronics for helping me identify the component, which I found on another DDR4 ram stick :). I believe it is a simple resistor, but not 100% sure, some people mentionned that it could be a common mode choke.

I first wanted to repair the pad but ended up bridging with 0.1mm enameled wire as it was faster to do and the result is clean.

Have a nice day!
