I've been conlanging for a few years but never tried to be "naturalistic"; if I like it, I put it in my conlang (within reason). I want to try that now and one of the ways I want to do this is in phonological development. I only speak English so I have some idea of how my language has changed over time, but not all languages change the same or at the same rate; I know Slavic or Sinitic languages evolved in very different ways. Are there any good resources for studying sound shifts across different languages/ language families?
