Staccato C4X mag catch / MD delete or swap

Hi Gents, 1st of all, My CCW is with LASD and i have looked up extensively about their terms and conditions and also e-mailed LASD to ask, for my CCW, it is okay to modify as long as they are compliant to DOJ, even with freedom mags too. (no need to ask for a friend)

So with that out of the way, I understand that we could file down the mag catch right side upper just slight bit to be able to pull the trigger, and also that might void the warranty in that process. (totally understandable)

Now, what about buying a none california version of the HD mag catch and just simply swap out the one CA came with? I can keep the original one like i kept all my other pistol's MD parts, I mean why not ? Are their significant difference from out of CA version to the CA version ?

Found this seller that sells the mag catch and is "Not Compatible with HD State Compliant Models" which means it is the normal version without that block ?

Any input would be appreciated!

Anyone run Tenicor Certum4 with their C4X? If yes, how's the fitment? It came with a pink card said "No safe queens allowed" lol.

Picking up my Staccato HD C4X in two days. Need your advice.

Ready to pick up my 2011 Staccato HD C4X in two days for my CCW (LASD). I've got the plate, Trijicon RMR HD, and 2000 rounds of Ammo to break it in. To you all gents who run with Staccatos, what are the DOs and DON'Ts for you?

So far for my knowledge below.

1, don't drop the slide with empty mag.

2, don't slam a mag in when slide are locked back open. (Kind of confused here, doesn't the mag came with Staccato have a stopper plate?)

3, Do clean and oil often, they run wet. (I use shooter's lube combo)

So, as what i heard from some, new Staccato before breaking in would stovepipe, jam or some kind of malfunction due to the tight tolerance, what was your experience breaking in when you 1st got it new?

Thanks for your input.

Staccato C4X or should i wait for Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp, one and done CCW gun.

Been thinking about the Staccato a lot since they came on roster, wasn't really into the P4 at the beginning because it was kind plain, now that the C4X is out, I loved two of my comped CCW and wanted something nicer. Now, if you were to chose from the two, Kimber 2K11 stainless Pro Comp or Staccato C4X premium, which one would you go for your money ? Size wise i believe they are very similar. Should i wait for the kimber ?
