Did you ever feel like a certain instructor just didn’t like you?

I don’t know what it is but there’s one instructor that I feel like just never liked me. She’s encouraging and complimentary to so many in class and after class, but with me it’s only been critiques or radio silence.

She’s one of the few instructors who actually knows how to teach at my studio, so I still go to her classes, but I leave every time thinking damn that woman hates me lol. I don’t even need her encouragement or anything, but it’s also just this vibe I can feel from her that I’ve never felt from anyone else at my studio.

Looking to test drive a QX60 but I’m reading that infinity does not hold their value. Is this true?

I currently have a Toyota 4Runner which has of course held it’s value extremely well. Will I be disappointed going from Toyota to Infinity?

Do you think my studio will give me back the credit from a terrible class today?

New instructor and she kept chit chatting and then saying things like “oh I lost count, does anyone know how many we’ve done?”

One (rude) member kept wanting to talk about her injury stories to this instructor during class and was going on and on. Instead of the instructor shutting it down and saying she’s available after class, she kept indulging.

Can I email my studio and get the credit back? I’m getting really tired of awful instructors. I’m down to only 2 I can stand, possibly 3. Every recent hire seems like they can’t teach at all, but I really draw the line at conversations with members during class that cut into the class time. I felt like I wasted that whole hour.

I’m a level 5 brunette with 40% gray scattered throughout. Twice now I have been to very experienced color experts/salon owners for gray blending and both have talked me out of it.

It’s so strange. It’s like if someone went for Botox and the injector told them nah just leave your wrinkles.

I don’t understand it. I thought gray blending was an easy, low maintenance way to hide grays in highlights/lowlight form, or even the option of using demi deposit only with a lighter shade to deposit the demi to the grays to make them look like dimensional babylights.

Talked about all those options and both times by different professionals was told I’m better off leaving my hair as is. I really don’t know what’s going on. I thought being a color expert would deal extensively with gray blending. I was shocked to be told there’s really no good options for me.

Would you consult with a 3rd professional at this point? The grays are so noticeable since my hair is dark and I’m not one of those women who is embracing the white strands. I prefer going the non permanent route bc of the maintenance with the line of demarcation I’d have so quickly.

▲ 170 r/Menopause

Meno specialist Dr today said vaginal atrophy at my age (48) is not normal. I’m confused.

We were talking about HRT and I brought up that I’ve noticed atrophy, both clitoral and inner lips, and she said they don’t see that until the years way past menopause. I told her that I definitely noticed it starting around 46-47 and she really had nothing to say about it after that.

I’m already using vaginal estradiol cream and it’s not helping in terms of those shrinking parts. I asked if testosterone is ever given to help this and she said no.

This was just a talking appt, no exam, but I assured her I’m noticing these shrinking parts and she had no answer for me besides that it wasn’t a hormone thing. She brought up that sometimes they see this if it’s a dermatological issue. What?!

Should I just ask my reg gyno at my next exam? I would think this menopause specialist would know more about it, but I guess not.

Why are my numbers seemingly getting worse when I’ve added more workouts and have lost more weight?

Previously I was working out 3 days a week bc I had a foot injury and even just walking was painful. I’ve rehabbed my foot and have added more workouts, walking 3 miles per day now and going to Pilates 2-3 days a week as well. More active than I have been in the past 7 months since I have way less pain now. So why are my numbers looking worse? I was getting 150-154 readings and now this week they’re more like 167–173 ish. This disease is baffling and I’m sick of it.

All the ants. I’m losing my mind.

I notice them in my kitchen every spring but this year is especially terrible.

Just found one crawling up my arm in my BED.

Why are they so bad this year? Any natural remedies? I don’t like to put out ant traps, even if they say pet safe (I don’t trust it) bc we have cats. I’m losing my damn mind. Some are extremely mini and some are the bigger ones. Been deep cleaning every surface multiple times a day and it feels like it doesn’t help at all!!!

Is there a huge difference going from flow 1 to 1.5? A lot of the 1.5 classes work better for my schedule.

But I’m also a bit scared to sign up for 1.5s! I’m about 8 weeks into my membership and have been going to 2 classes per week.

How were the results? I’d never do filler, but this sounds like what I need. I’m trying to go in for a consult in my area with a plastic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon or cosmetic derm and I’m having zero luck finding any who offer them. All that comes up in my research are med spa type places and laser center places who have aestheticians or NPs doing it.

Is this not a widely available service with very experienced MDs who know what they’re doing?

It just seems kind of gross that they only give 1 cleaning wipe at the end of class for the person to wipe down everything touched. 1 wipe is barely enough for cleaning the hand and foot straps, let alone all parts of the reformer and other things used (ball, bar, mat, etc).
