The budge studios games were something else

Since playing Wonders of Sodor, those old budge studios games re-entered my mind. Magical Tracks, Minis, Go Go Thomas, those were favourites of mine when I was little. Unfortunately, those except minis have been ruined by the all engines go virus infecting them. I remember those games would piss off my parents because like 90% of them was locked behind in-app purchases, which is basically budge studios in a nutshell (this has become a more notable thing in my home country of Australia because they made a Bluey game full of in-app purchases).

I downloaded an apk emulator, downloaded a hack of Thomas and friends magical tracks with all the in-app purchases unlocked, and my childhood came back to me. I'll play minis and go go Thomas tomorrow, I don’t remember the last time I saw the OG Go Go Thomas before it was overhauled in 2018. The budge studios games weren’t perfect, but had a certain charm to them that most mobile games don’t have these days.

Anyone have memories of the budge studios games? I didn’t mention express delivery because I barely remember much from that one, I don’t think my parents bought any in-app purchases for that one (they were probably sick of budge studios by then).

I'm worried about the new series

Idk, it’s just the toys faces and some of the proportions just look awful. And the test footage we saw in January was all bouncy. I thought this new series was supposed to be more faithful to the railway series

My mailbox has been cursed with this

Why, just why. Not to mention Clive Palmer didn’t even run any candidates in Canberra last election, and even then didn’t win a seat because nobody likes him

We need to stop Pauline Hanson at all costs

She and One Nation are a threat to our democracy. One Nation time and time again has proved that it doesn’t work for the everyday battlers and instead the billionaires that are funding them.

The whole reason this polling surge is taking place is because everyone is sick of the labor party and the coalition not delivering on their promises, and basically doing nothing to make our lives better. I hate the Labor party and the coalition as well, they’re big liars, but Pauline Hanson and One Nation are nothing different from them.

In 2024, Donald trump was elected mainly because the American people were sick of everything as well. But Donald Trump has only made America worse, like really bad. He was exploiting people’s anger to gain votes and get elected. You see the pattern, this is what Pauline is doing, she has openly supported Donald Trump numerous times, and a lot of her policies are based off Donald trump's. She’s using culture wars and a poorly animated movie to distract us from the billionaires which have been making record profits recently, and it’s not hard to find images of Albo and Pauline partying with those billionaires, making it all the more obvious they are under the influence of them.

All I have to say is just vote for literally anything else, like the greens, your local independents, or something else, there’s a lot of minor parties around. We have to stop Pauline Hanson, if she becomes prime minister, this country is gonna go really downhill, like America.

TIFU by climbing further along a branch and falling and almost breaking my back

This didn’t happen today (like every post on this sub), it happened a few weeks back, and I'm still recovering.

So at school I was climbing up a tree outside for some reason. The tree had an easy access point which made it easy to get up onto, which made it rather popular. I made it onto the highest branch I had ever climbed to, and someone else was further up, so feeling adventurous, I decided to walk further along the branch, huge mistake. I didn’t take into account that the further you go along the branch, the weaker it gets, and I ended up slipping and falling out of the tree. I feel feet first before my back took the rest.

HOLY SHIT my back hurt, I had never been in so much pain, it felt like my back had been mutilated and destroyed by something. I couldn’t get up, but thankfully I hadn’t hit my head so I didn’t have a concussion. The school called my dad who drove onto the field, and I slowly and painfully managed to get up with my dad and the teacher's help. At the emergency room, they detected no fractures, but my back muscles were most definitely bruised. I was discharged after a couple hours, and went home.

Since then, I have slowly been recovering, along with the help of painkillers. But for the first week following the fall, I could barely get up without my back killing me, I struggled to walk, couldn’t bend over, couldn’t play my Wii, and almost every movement hurt my back. I have improved a lot since, I am back at school, I can walk for extended periods of time, but I still can’t run, and my back is stiff.

TLDR: I fell out of a tree I was climbing at school, almost broke my back, and have had struggles with moving since

We were Robbed!

We were so close to getting a Lord Vortech figure and him as a playable character, but we didn’t. We could have gotten Minecraft and Despicable Me in Lego Dimensions, we could have gotten lots of cool things, who knows what was in year 3. But we didn’t, because TT Games robbed us of it. They could have just switched the game from toys to life to all digital, but no, they canceled their biggest game and instead we got pile of shit after pile of shit (well, except for Lego dc supervillains, it looks cool, even though I never played it). Lego Dimensions could have been so much more than what we have, but no. I'm happy we got what we got though, they could have canceled the game in early-2017 because that was when the signs began to appear, but they ended with a sort of banger with wave 9. But I'm still so disappointed, we were so close, we were so close to so much cool stuff.

In all honesty, I really want this game back, not toys to life obviously since that was the reason Lego Dimensions was cancelled. But there was so much stuff they were cooking up that we never got it makes me want to cry.
