I think I might know what causes the slow charging of Watch 9

For pretext, I used to have the Watch 7 (40mm) for 2 years.
I would always charge it with a powerbank, not a wall charger.

Because I do a lot of filming, I have a lot of powerbanks, large ones.
The one I used was a 99WH battery, as you can imagine, it can re-charge the watch many many times. Like a couple weeks of use at least. I find it convenient, I just plug it in when I sit at the desk sometimes.

Anyway, now I switched to the Watch 9 (44mm) and as many know, it has very poor charging speeds.

Few days a ago I plugged my watch 9 charging puck into the powerbank, but the watch wouldnt charge. I checked and saw the powerbank was empty.
Fair enough. I grab another one and switch them out.

Today, just 3 days later, or 3 charges later, that powerbank is also empty.

Something funky is going on, that charging puck is using WAY too much power.
I don't think anyone noticed that yet, because people just plug it into wall charger.

I think the puck has a design flaw/ or is defective. There is no way a huge powerbank like that gets drain that quickly from a tiny smart watch.

I assume the puck is faulty, gets hot, heats up the watch and voila, terrible charging speed.

Any thoughts on this ?

I made this beautiful stand for the Maxwell 2

Using my 3D Printer i made this stand for it, I used mostly a wood fibre filament for the main structure.

I live in the UK, if you would like me to print you one, drop me a DM

I guess the consensus is NOT to upgrade to latest firmware ?

I am on the firmware before the most recent one. After reading comments I assume it is best not to upgrade as it introduces new issues, am I right ?
Are there actually any people that think the latest firmware update (for Maxwell 2) is actually good ?

How is it that both their hardware and software is a lottery ? xD

Timed charging for Watch 9 44mm

Watch was at 25%, I put it on charge and it estimated 1hr 11min to charge.
So I timed it, after 1hr 11min it is at 78% and says its gonna take another 31min.

That is probably also wrong.

So charging from 25% will take about 2 hours, which in unacceptable and genuinely faulty in my opinion.

check yours !

So it seems all the Watch 9 have a charging issue ?

I have the watch 9 44mm and I have only charged it once so far and I haven't timed it, but the estimate the watch gives is plain wrong, I swear it took twice as long as it said.

I think people are not timing their watch charging.
Do it, there seems to be a massive charging issue with this device, recall worthy.

I only wonder if this is a firmware issue or a hardware problem.

Will prob return ! what a mess !

Got the Maxwell 2 today

First impressions? I understand the hype about the audio quality, does sound very different to anything I have heard before. Much more detailed, you can hear individual instruments clearly, bass doesn't muddle everything up. Its good.

Anyway, could you guys explain how to best set it up for bf6? I don't use Dolby atmos right ? So that is turned off, and ingame i select headphone stereo.

And dynamics? I had it set to 'wartapes' before, but apparently it should be set to high dynamics? But again could you guys enlighten me.

What are the ideal settings.

In terms of hiss, yes I can hear it, faintly, I might buy a second unit and compare, send worse one back. Will see

4090 FE power telemetry during a sustained DaVinci Resolve render

I've been running a long DaVinci Resolve render (around 2 hours total) and grabbed a snapshot of HWiNFO about halfway through.

I often see people mention using sensor data to monitor power delivery during sustained GPU workloads, so I thought it would be interesting to share mine for discussion.

Here's the HWiNFO snapshot from the render. Anything interesting stand out in the telemetry or power-related readings?

Are we expecting a price drop for Maxwell 2 (when ANC comes out)

I am in the UK and I have been following the Maxwell and this reddit for a few months now so I am aware of all the positives/negatives.

I am going to buy the maxwell 2 soon (on amazon), I waited so long because I want to see if the ANC version has hardware revisions that fix some of the common issues (hiss etc)
Even though I am not at all interested in the actual ANC.

So my plan is to order the maxwell 2 on July 1st, which means I will have enough time to test it and also still be in the return window of amazon (30 days) to see reviews for the ANC version (which comes out july 17th) so I if it happens to be much better, I could still return my maxwell 2 and get the ANC version.

This being said, with the issues that the headset has, from hiss, to comfort, to connection issue, to volume, to QC issue etc etc. I am 80% certain that I will try the headset and return it (hence amazon purchase)

Still curious to try them for myself, obviously I hope they are just great, but I am sure you all understand my low expectations lol

Dji has released Electronic ND for M4P

Dji has released the new Electronic ND filter for the Mavic 4 Pro.

It is lighter than the original version and has less color casting too.

The problem, it has only been released in China, and only in physical shops.

I have seen loads of people buy them from third sellers with contacts in China, but at higher cost of course.

Does anyone know if DJI will release the new E-ND officially for everyone?

And why are they releasing it just in China ?

Feedback from a "new-ish" player

So I played 4 hours of HLL Vietnam over the weekend, I have played the original HLL, not much tbf.

My first impressions were that it looked a bit rough and I felt that it was very similar to the original WW2 HLL. In fact it felt so samey that I got the impression of this just being a reskin with Vietnam flavour maps to be honest.

I was kind of expecting this to be move forward for game, a jump in both visuals, gameplay, mechanics etc.

But it feels extremely underwhelming in virtually every aspect.
The graphics has some high moments (looking towards the sun, lighting etc) But many areas of the map look low quality and performance is abysmal. And I am playing a 4090.

Low res textures, poor lighting in some areas and effects are generally underwhelming.

Also sound design, the explosions and battles sound flat and mostly boring, I even switched audio profile to cinematic.

Mechanics and movement feel janky. I don't mind slower more tactical/realistic movement ofcourse, that is the point of the game, but the animations of other players look like from a game from the early 2000s, climbing a ladder or interacting with anything just feels very off.

The whole presentation and feel of the game is very last-gen. Foliage doesn't move when explosions go off, nothing is destructible, it just feels very last gen.

It doesn't help that I play Battlefield 6 a lot at the moment, the the graphics/effects/destruction and sound design are spectacular by comparison.

I know HLL is trying to be realistic, not quite like Squad, but I always felt HLL was trying to be a middle ground between something like Battlefield and something like Squad.

But the execution is very poor. My friend and I tried it together and have both uninstalled it. We won't buy it.
