I think I might know what causes the slow charging of Watch 9
For pretext, I used to have the Watch 7 (40mm) for 2 years.
I would always charge it with a powerbank, not a wall charger.
Because I do a lot of filming, I have a lot of powerbanks, large ones.
The one I used was a 99WH battery, as you can imagine, it can re-charge the watch many many times. Like a couple weeks of use at least. I find it convenient, I just plug it in when I sit at the desk sometimes.
Anyway, now I switched to the Watch 9 (44mm) and as many know, it has very poor charging speeds.
Few days a ago I plugged my watch 9 charging puck into the powerbank, but the watch wouldnt charge. I checked and saw the powerbank was empty.
Fair enough. I grab another one and switch them out.
Today, just 3 days later, or 3 charges later, that powerbank is also empty.
Something funky is going on, that charging puck is using WAY too much power.
I don't think anyone noticed that yet, because people just plug it into wall charger.
I think the puck has a design flaw/ or is defective. There is no way a huge powerbank like that gets drain that quickly from a tiny smart watch.
I assume the puck is faulty, gets hot, heats up the watch and voila, terrible charging speed.
Any thoughts on this ?
