Any longterm trading veterans(15-20years) have any insight/ advice etc what to do? I usually do bar by bar with my stop loss, and its like where do you put it?! Wicks are 0verlapping even in trend(up or down) has made it beyond difficult - never seen anything like this.
Im confused....
I use OCO orders with a stop and a limit(set high, in case of a wild spike to capture that move before it instantly reverses, template I have is +2limit and -25stop loss) via active trader ladder
So for example I take a trade on SPY option and its moving in my favor... I then decide to add, where there is now a second set of OCO on the screen... Youre looking at the chart for the option and there are 2 stop losses and 2 limit orders, got it?
I click onto one of the stops to move it up to break even, it sets but then the second OCO set, just disappears a few second later!?
Why?!
I then have to switch to single orders add the second one on again..
Sometimes I have to cancel them all and put them back in individually which then causes additional problems bc the system will alert that the order Im entering will cancel out previous ones, which also means my limits are being eliminated as well! It causes a total mess which is not good if price is moving quick
Am I the only one this happens to?
What can I do to fix this?
If so Im curious where you entered. I didnt take it because what I saw was this thing stuck in range for hours, IMO there was no need to enter... and then it ran +1.5
If you took it please explain your methodology what you saw, what told you "get in now" vs earlier since, again, it was in a 3+hour range
Freezer fan started running long at high for cpl days wouldnt shut off
I started shutting it off over fear of motor burning out, so I would turn it off (turning knob to 0) for few hours then turn it on, let it run all night of course
Thursday it was running and then shut off on its own, knowing that was odd I turned it off, waited a while then it turned back on, it went on and was back to running until I would turn it off.
Ran my scenario through AI and it suggested checking the main control board for any damage (FYI this was replaced over 10 yrs ago). I in fact found brown solder points, and just replaced the board this morning
Naturally it started up and was running most of day. I went into kitchen didnt hear it running, so I thought maybe it got to temp already, opened door, little digital therm read 9° so it didnt go to 0°
It has yet to start up again, even after the freezer door being opened while I went to see whats up.
Any ideas what Im going to have to fix next?
AI thinks its the evaporator fan motor, but I dunno
*****9:34pm I just went into the kitchen to have a snack, and the fridge is running!? Is it possible it stopped running because it was running all day going from room/house temp to 9° and got hot kicking on some safety feature for compressor or whatever?? Also when I replaced the board and it turned on the fan was not blasting hard like it was before I replaced it. Is it operating way it should or???? ***

These stupid misprints screw up my studies(I have one that plots premkt H&L, as well as watchlist based on it), and you cant correct them because you risk causing others, like VWAP, to stop working [still dont know if TOS ever fixed that bug]

Curious what many experienced traders esp those who trade options think about this? The idea of being able to trade NVDA, BA, PLTR and all the others listed here as a future the same way you would trade their stock sounds quite appealing. Many people trade the options for all the stocks that will be offered for futures trading will be from free the Greeks.
1 futures contract = 100 shares (same as options)
0.01 index points = $1.00 (this is the same difference to options but NO greeks)
Big question to ask, what will the margin rates be? On a tradovate/ninja trader to trade micro NQ is $100, micro ES is $50, I guess we can assume rates for stocks will be the around the same? I cant see them being more it wouldnt make sense.
Think about it though, 1 0DTE/ 1DTE ITM option contract for many costs well over $200-300, some much much higher. With the futures its theoretically possible it will only cost $50-$100/contract on these platforms. WE DONT KNOW because nothing has been released yet, but its plausible.
Not even going to mention how "cheap" it is vs buying actual stock

So TOS wont allow you to trade chinese stocks that are low float thru active trader, you have to call in to broker!?
Curious is anyone knows how this works is it a 1 time thing when you call in they ask some questions and then theyll allow you to trade via active trader or is it literally every single time you want to trade one of these stocks youll have to call in??
