Non-Advisor Senior role at Equitable
Does anyone know anything about working at Equitable outside of the advisor roles? Specifically in their Innovation & Design Office. Is it as bad culturally as the advisor space?
Asking on behalf of my wife. She had a pretty solid job in tech currently but is looking to move out of her current role. She sent me a role from equitable and asked me if I knew anything about the company and if she should apply for the role. Looks like a step up in pay based on the listed range. I work in banking and my only knowledge of equitable is of the advisor roles which I’ve pretty consistently heard are terrible and to run far far away. I don’t really know anything about them as a company outside of those roles.
25M - Does anyone have any clue what this red rash in my armpit is?
The first picture is from yesterday, the second is from today after wearing cotton and using the Noble Bar Soap with Pyrithione Zinc. Seems a bit less inflamed.
I first noticed this about 6-8 weeks ago in just the bottom part of my armpit but didn’t think too much of it. I wear a lot of athletic golf polos for work (and golf) and sometimes sweat, so I just assumed it was that and would clear up. I’ve been using a Salicylic Acid cleaner for that time period, washing it maybe 4 times a week. It really seems to have spread to that full space over the past 2 weeks.
Sometimes it flares up and is more red like in the first picture and sometimes it gets a bit more faded like in the second. I have no idea why.
It does not itch at all. I really don’t feel it much. It’s not particularly warm to the touch. It does sting a tiny bit, not painfully, if I’ve worn a tight shirt and sweated. My armpits do smell a bit bad when I don’t wear deodorant, kind of like a raw onion smell, so I’ve been putting deodorant on everyday. Just a normal dove men. I put on Hibiclens in the shower today and that made it a bit warm and stung a bit, but no additional redness.
The boil looking thing also present isn’t my primary concern, it popped up maybe 3 days ago and has gotten much softer and started to fade. Those pop up every few months seemingly out of the blue and last maybe 3-5 days and go away, but I don’t believe they’re connected to the larger redness I’ve been experiencing for the past month or two.
Any recommendations or opinions are appreciated. I have a dermatology appointment coming up, but the earliest I could schedule was 3 weeks out and I’d like to do something about this sooner.
Edit to add: A similar spot, much smaller and less red, at just the bottom area of my other armpit popped up about 3 days ago as well
TLDR; My QN90F sucks for live TV and looks grainy. Need recommendations for a TV that is elite with motion handling and whatever causes graininess, and ideally can handle a bit of brightness. 75” or higher, would prefer to be within the general ballpark of the $1999 I paid, but willing to go a bit higher if necessary. Bonus if you can recommend a 75” bedroom tv in the $1000 range as well.
I just got a 75” Samsung QN90F and disappointed would be an understatement. I loved the picture in store, even more than any of the flagship TV’s (OLED or Mini-LED). And the matte screen looked great for glare/reflection handling.
Unfortunately, I just got it mounted 2 days ago and got my Apple TV all hooked up and it looks terrible. I looked up the recommended settings and made those changes, which helped a bit with some issues, but did not fix them all. The matte screen does its job amazingly, probably the only redeeming quality, but watching live TV was rough. It looks grainy at times, it’s jumpy/jittery/laggy during scenes, and at one point the sound and the mouth of the person talking were out of sync by like a quarter of a second. I feel confident that it’s not my internet because my Sony X90K looked fine.
Streaming looked a bit better using Hulu and Peacock, but my YouTube TV looks bad. I’m even watching golf right now and the scorebug looks grainy, it seems just a tiny bit unfocused, and a sky view of the course made the trees look like they had a black shadow and weren’t defined/clear.
To make matters worse, I have a 75” QN90D on the way for my bedroom. Before getting the QN90F up I figured it would be mostly as good and I got it for $1000 on sale. Had I realized the QN90F wasn’t good I probably wouldn’t have done that. Planning to cancel that order.
With that said, I need some new recommendations. Motion handling and whatever causes the graininess has apparently become very important to me and I don’t want to have to deal with it. I got the QN90F for $1999, so I’d prefer something in the same general price range, but willing to be flexible. It ideally needs to be handle some brightness. I have a window off of the left of my living room (with curtains that work pretty well) and the kitchen behind it where lights are sometimes on. And if anyone wants to throw in a bedroom suggestion as well that would be great.
