Me and two friends are building a 9-hole on private land, probably gonna need 7 baskets and got one discmania discgolfpark pro so far.
We wanna get away as cheap as possible and thought about making our own with a pipe, rebar and chains but that'll cost us 200$ in materials, a bit much for something homemade.
I've contacted everyone and everywhere I could think of to buy used baskets but no luck so far.
Do you think we could get baskets for like 100$ and coat them so they can survive outside or something or do you have any other ideas?
we want something we can be happy with but also we're paying for everything ourselves and just the platform on the tees are gonna be like 500$
EDIT 2: LIKELY SOLUTION:
I flipped the axle mounts/blocks and looks like I'll be able to put the chain together with one less link, I will try that tomorrow.
Got a new chain from powerparts and with the chain proparly tightened this is how much left I have on the adjusting bolt.
If I were to cut another link I wouldn't be able to put the chain back together, too tight.
Is this right? I feel like I should have much much more "tightness to give" than this?
(Ignore the securing nut, it was temporary for the picture)
EDIT: Yes it's the new chain on, it's a bit dirty from fingerprints that's all
To be clear, I can't pull the chain together enough to put the master link into the next if I were to remove another link
I tightened and lubed the chain before a 650km trip. (Stops at 7mm below swing arm)
Now it's loose, the sprocket looks good to me but I think the chain needs changing soon but before I install a new chain, could it be something else and not the chain?
The nuts that are used to tighten the chain haven't changed place. If I install a new chain I'll also install a new sprocket
