Deer Decimate my lilies every winter, can I over winter them in the house?

NJ/USA My mini pond was covered with white/pale yellow lilies for a few years and then we had a drought and the deer ate them down to the water line. My pond is low, (mostly no), maintenance, so I don't want any kind of netting, fences or other barrier. Would the plants die if I put them in a tub in the house over the winter? I don't know the variety since they were here when we bought the house. The pink ones didn't come back after the deer got ahold of them, but I'd love an id on them if anyone knows. Thank you!

Editing to add that we get decent freezes here and they thrive in the new extremes of climate change: maybe overwintering in the garage where they're protected from the deer but have the chance to be cold? I hope someone has advice.

Looking for permanent solutions for deep texture on my filthy tile please!

I can't physically get this floor clean anymore. The tile is grey and textured and we have red dirt in our area. Recently the cat got into some paint and I had to use a wire brush and an X-acto knife to pick the paint out. You can see the red tint, which is just plain old dirt from outside. It's the landing spot when you come in from outside and it's a busy kitchen with animals so "shoes off" isn't practical.

The floor is heated and my tile guy quoted $100/sf to lay new tile over it. I'd have to sign a waiver and hire a carpenter to raise the doors and moulding, so that's not an ideal option. I've used my little circular sander in spots but the dirt remains in the deeper areas after I knock the top layer of texture off. I wouldn't care if I lost the pattern, assuming it's printed on, if I having it professionally sanded down is feasible.

I'm open to coating it, having it sanded, buying a serious robot mop, or putting roll vinyl over it. I don't think peel and stick would be a good idea considering the heated floors. Help and thank you for your learned advice!

[USA LL NJ] Tips for a reusable room rental lease for a private home?

I'm a landlord and I tried posting this in the landlord sub and the computer overlord sent me here. Forgive me if it's off topic. I've been leasing a room to grad students and college interns. I'm wondering if anyone has a state-specific resource for room leases or a NJ lawyer that drafts reusable leases? My searches have resulted in many options but I don't know which to trust. Thanks All.

Anyone use meal services? Workin gal dreading back to school.

Hi friends, I'm 62f, with one more school year to go. I caught COVID last year and I have on-and off-energy levels. Realistically I probably spend $125-150/week at the supermarket plus an amount of gourmet deli foods and hot take out. I love the idea of delivery but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. Any recommendations? I don't have much gas in the tank after work for the raw box that you have to cook. Thank you fellow wise women.

Wiggly Shower Temp Control and Google Ain't No Help.

Hi Plumbers, I tried to post this on the DIY sub but it was never approved, maybe you all can help me.

I have a wiggly shower handle/temp control. I have an excellent plumber who will certainly fix it, but I hate to call him out for this one small job and nothing else in my house needs fixing right now. Google said "tighten the allen key holes" which I did, but that made no difference in the amount of wiggle. (There's one on either side of the lever.) The brand is California Faucets. There aren't any other allen key holes on it, which makes me think maybe it's a job for the plumber. I appreciate any advice including that I should call my plumber because it needs to be taken apart to fix!

Edit: I took off the silver lever and the mounting post is wiggly. Inside the mounting post is a Philips head screw, but I'm afraid I might be at the "call the plumber" stage, for fear of damaging the faucet and flooding the bathroom. https://imgur.com/a/4pH28GL

I'll be in Boston July 16-18. Anyone interested in a meet up?

I'll be in town visiting family, although staying in a hotel. Anyone interested in an IRL meet up? Can any Boston area locals suggest a favorite outdoor meet up spot? Maybe we can get a group going. I have a box of "HELLO MY NAME IS" stickers somewhere in my desk:).

Singles Travel Group Recommendations?

Hello single friends: I'd love to hear of any group travel programs, be it womens', singles, over sixty, or anything else interesting. I'm open to any type except European bus tours that rush from city to city, being that I'm an experienced traveler. I prefer locales with culture over beach resorts. I plan to retire in a year or so and I'd love to meet new people with an eye towards new friendships and a long term relationship.

I’ve always had the kids who aren’t taking the exam submit a facsimile to me on a Google slideshow. What do you do?

I'm not a serious collector, I'm trying to find homes for some ephemera left by a relative. I thought these pretty stamps might appeal to the elementary school set.
