Did Vic Mackey break bad?

Corinne said that he used to be sweet and as far as I know all the crimes he committed happened while he was in the Strike team, so I'm assuming he didn't commit crimes when he was a beat cop and he also didn't commit crimes when he was a detective.

So, did he at some point in his life decide to break bad?

Also in co-pilot his relationship with Corinne appears to be good, so it all starts deteriorating when the strike team begun.

Mackey was 38 in the pilot of The Shield, could it have been an early-ish midlife crisis?

Did he let Shane know? Because if he had gone crazy that would have affected Shane and he should have known.

What you do think?

I love the way Vic Mackey holds keys in his hand.

There aren't many scenes of Vic holding keys but in the few scenes where he's holding keys, he looks badass.

The attention to details that Michael Chiklis put in everything that Vic does is astonishing.

Stupid jokes that you regret saying?

I still think about that time at the hospital, I got up from a chair and I banged my head on some equipment, the nurse said "don't knock yourself out" and my reply was "that's fine, I'm at the hospital," I have no idea why I thought that joke would be funny, I might not need to clarify this but she didn't laugh, I still cringe thinking about it.

Also, many years ago, at an Aldi's till I said "if it didn't scan it must be free."

I really need to just shut the freak up.

What's the psychology behind making an employee's life a misery?

In my workplace over the last few years there have been changes and tweaks, none of them benefited us employees.

I'm not gonna say what I do for a living but let's say our employer makes a lot of money out of us and our wage is shiz.

So, for example out of the blue they decided not to let the staff members park in the car park that is nearest our workplace, they decided to block us from accessing the settings in our equipment, so we can't change the brightness and all that stuff, in the past years during heatwaves the lates were allowed to start early instead to avoid working during the hottest hours, again, they now decided to not let us do that anymore, those are just few examples, there's literally new bs being implemented every week.

What's the reason behind that? Is it a power thing?

Or our employer is just an awful person? Seriously, those changes don't make them make any extra money, I just don't understand the need of being mean just because they can.

Are humans generally dirty and untidy?

When I first moved to the UK I rented a room for a while at a British woman's house, the house was very clean, before that I was used to my family house in Italy being always very clean, so up until that point in my life I had never experienced a dirty house.

That changed quickly, I rented rooms in different houses moving from London to Manchester and in all the houses I've been (both Brits and foreigners) the houses have been dirty and messy, and I mean kitchen sinks full of unwashed dishes all the times, dirty toilets, dirty carpets, clutter, dust, mould etc...

When I met my wife I thought things would change, but even she is very messy, like just dumping items on the floor, and not washing up etc...

I often complain and I spend my days off cleaning, but I'm starting to think that this is normal behaviour and the majority of human beings are dirty and messy and I just need to accept it.

Do Police still patrol the streets?

I've noticed since Covid ended that I never see the Police out and about patrolling, I mean the UK has never being a Police state (relatively speaking) but now the Police feel more like an Ambulance or a Fire engine, they show up when called but there don't seem to be Police actually going around and looking at suspicious behaviours and stopping people and generally going around fishing.

I know they go easy with the stop and searches as they can easily get accused of racism and they can't get away with bully behaviour like the used to now.

When I see them they're on the way to some destination, they're never driving around slowly looking around.

All I see in town is traffic wardens, security and litter wardens, where have the Police gone?

How can I be angry?

I'm kind of tired of being anxious, afraid and worried.

I'm a 39 years old father and I hate being so worried about every little thing.

The thing is, I wanna be angry again like I used to when I was younger, you could say I was an entitled little brat and I always thought I was right and I would get angry at problems instead of being afraid or worried.

I'm not saying being angry was good, but it was a million times better than being afraid.

I believe I've matured and I've got humbled by life and that little angry entitled brat is now gone and got replaced by an anxious useless shadow of the man I used to be.

Do you have a coworker who loves cars so much that they neglet their own health?

One of my colleagues is a man in his fifties who buys a fancy car every couple of years, we earn a pretty average wage but he's always driving an expensive BMW or Audi etc... I spoke to him the other day and now he has an itch for a Tesla, knowing him he'll buy it soon.

The thing is, he's got several teeth missing and the ones he has left look quite unhealthy.

I know it's none of my business and the guy simply does what makes him happy, but the priority should alway be health, I just don't get that way of life.

Is it something that's it's common?

What pushes people to go for expensive cars when they should be spending that money for more important things?

Is it a case of you live only once so you should do what makes you happy?

I'm just curious.

Is this normal?

The Soulgorger got stuck there and I was able to just unleash attacks on it until I defeated it, it couldn't attack me from that position.

Is it a bug or is it meant to be a tactic?

Sorry, I'm relatively new to the Diablo Immortal world.

Up untill what age do you call a man "young man" in the UK?

I'm an Italian living in south west England, I often get called "young man" by people, even though I'm 39, it makes my day every time it happens, but then I'm like, what if it's normal to call someone young man even if they're middle aged in the UK?

Does running ever become pleasant?

I've been running for years, I run regularly multiple times per week and I do hiit workouts at home, at the beginning it felt like torture, then the more I pushed through the easier it'd become, I was so happy to be able to run for longer, I was so happy to be able to do more sprints etc...

The thing is, I was hoping I'd condition my body to the point where running would actually become pleasant, like just a nice experience from start to finish. Instead, even though I don't suffer like I used to do, I have this mild discomfort from start to finish, my question is: does it ever go away? Is age a factor? (I'm 39) Do I have to push myself even more? Like adding weights to my ankles or something? Or should I just be happy with what I've achieved?

Walter White vs Vic Mackey, who wins?

I'm not talking about a fist fight, I'm talking about a multi-season chess match.

I feel like the quote: "the exact reverse opposite of that is gonna happen" applies to both of them.

What's the UK best at?

By looking at some of the rankings, the UK appears to be either, good, really good, or excellent.

Examples:

Richest countries in the world, UK ranks at number 5.

Safest roads in the world, UK ranks at number 6.

Least corruption in the world, UK ranks at number 20.

Best healthcare in the world, UK ranks at number 27.

Best passport in the world, UK ranks at 25.

So what's the UK number 1 or 2 at?

Also, is the UK one of the worst countries in any department?

Would women find season 5 Walter attractive?

I know Walter White isn't exactly dreamy, but he was very confident and powerful in season 5, his body language had completely changed from the Walter from season 1.

Does anyone find season 5 (the first half I'd say) Walter attractive? Or the evilness takes away any "aura" that he might have had developed?

Is customer service getting worse?

I've come across more and more people in retail, front desks, telephone customer service etc... who look and sound like they can't be bothered, most of the times there's no "going the extra mile," no fake smiles, no fake interest, they just look sad, tired or mad.

Is it because the wages of those kind of jobs aren't enough for a decent life anymore?

Is it because companies are struggling to hire people so they hire anyone?

Or am I just a p-ick who thinks everyone is rude?

I live in the south west of England, I don't know, maybe up north you still got your friendly customer service.

I'm an Italian living in the UK.

I've noticed that people here don't generally seem to respect authority as much as people do where I'm from.

The public here don't seem to be scared of the Police, traffic wardens get abused on a daily basis.

People in charge end up being disliked and if you're in charge of something you can't get away with saying "that's the way I want it and that's the way it's gonna be," they always have to explain why they made a certain decision especially if it's an unpopular one, don't get me wrong, I know that people in charge do pretty much what they like here as well, but it's like here they have to "keep a façade" kinda thing and pretend they're listening to feedback from the people below them.

The auditors who end up making the officers do the walk of shame is something that when I tell my friends in Italy they're like "so they just get told off by a member of the public and they simply walk away?"

So, what's the reason?

Is it because the authority is softer here and some people take advantage of it?

Is it because the authority used to misbehave in the past and now you're getting your revenge?

Or is the way it should be and people should feel like they can insult and question authority as a human right sort of thing?

Or did I get the whole thing wrong and just low life people don't respect authority and they know there can be consequences but they're simply s-upid?

So, I've been promoting my books on TikTok and Instagram for years.

Recently I've come across more and more users complaining about how certain authors behave, the online community is super supportive and they go the extra mile to help us indie authors.

The problem (from what users told me) is that apparently some authors get confrontational if an ARC reader points out flaws in their books, also some authors offer to send a physical copy in exchange for a 5 star review, they insist that the review has to be a five stars regardless if the reviewer likes it or not.

When I contact new users they often warn me that they're honest more than ever before, some even told me "due to bad experiences with authors I'm not taking any more ARCs."
