Just finished the greatest police show of all time…

First things first, I have watched the wire and while it is better than the shield, it isn’t really police show as it tells the story of Baltimore more than the police itself.

What other show would have a cop kill another cop in the first ever episode? From that moment on it isn’t just another typical corrupt cop story, it’s THE greatest corrupt cop story with goo cops who also tend to do bad things (🐈) with some of the greatest use of tension and shock I’ve seen in a while and especially their conclusions.

>!Lem and shane are dead.!<
>!Ronnie is in prison.!<
>!Vic most likely quit his job at ICE!<
>!Dutch gets the lawyer’s number whilst also preventing a Lloyd becoming a serial killer!<
>!Acaveda is mayor!<

And what broke my heart the most is when >!Claudette is dying…!< words couldn’t explain seeing her becoming sick and having her episodes like when she fired Dutch and realising what she did.

I’ve watched some of the greatest shows and not sure what to watch next but it’s between SoA or Justified. (I’ve already watched Wire, Sopranos, Mad Men, BCS and the shield)

What do you guys think of the greatest police show and what I should watch next?

Did Vic Mackey break bad?

Corinne said that he used to be sweet and as far as I know all the crimes he committed happened while he was in the Strike team, so I'm assuming he didn't commit crimes when he was a beat cop and he also didn't commit crimes when he was a detective.

So, did he at some point in his life decide to break bad?

Also in co-pilot his relationship with Corinne appears to be good, so it all starts deteriorating when the strike team begun.

Mackey was 38 in the pilot of The Shield, could it have been an early-ish midlife crisis?

Did he let Shane know? Because if he had gone crazy that would have affected Shane and he should have known.

What you do think?

Ronnie's Fate

When Ronnie tells Vic we're in the clear absolutely breaks my heart as Vic knows something he doesn't. That the last living member of the strike has to face his fate.

Shane's conclusion

Shane's conclusion was one of the best and worst conclusion of all time imo , worst as if the way it ended in very bad way , i was just waiting for him to die but when it happened i felt sooo bad for him

Ik after what he did to lem he had to go but the way it happened was very sad , and the actor who played Shane was on a whole another level which took the scene to another level

He's last call with vic made me pity him so bad

But it was 10/10 conclusion

I love the way Vic Mackey holds keys in his hand.

There aren't many scenes of Vic holding keys but in the few scenes where he's holding keys, he looks badass.

The attention to details that Michael Chiklis put in everything that Vic does is astonishing.

Who exactly are the black board of directors?

They just show up and aren’t really explained towards the end of the series. Are they the heads of the gangs Vic has spent years busting? Did I miss anything in the show or does it just keep it vague, and how do you interpret who they are.

Just finished watching the show , and it was mind blowing , one of the best shows i have ever watched

If I had to describe this show in one word " Consequences " would be the most accurate choice

At first i thought it was just a regular crime thriller but this was something else , the writing of the show is fantastic

Idk how this show is not talked enough or is under appreciated this much , i heard about this last week and i have been watching shows for so many years now but anyways glad that I was able to experience it , truly one of the best

And i felt really sad for Shane and his family man and also for ronny he really got done dirty

Do any two shows have more cast crossover?

More than The Shield and Sons of Anarchy? I have re-watched SoA a few times so I am very familiar with even the smaller parts/characters. I just recently started The Shield and I am about halfway through it (I know... I'm late to this party lol).
Anyway, I'm noticing LOTS of the same actors are in this. It's wild. I'm just wondering... do these two shows share more actors than any other two shows that aren't in the same universe?
I have seen a lot of TV, and I don't think I have ever seen this much cast crossover. So far, this is who I have noticed...

Michael Chiklis: Vic in The Shield / Trucker in SoA
Walton Goggins: Shane in The Shield / Venus in SoA
CCH Pounder: Claudette Wyms in The Shield / D.A. Tyne Patterson in SoA
Kenny Johnson: Curtis Lemansky in The Shield / Herman Kozik in SoA
Jay Karnes: Dutch Wagenbach in The Shield / Agent Josh Kohn in SoA
Benito Martinez: David Aceveda in The Shield / Luis Torres in SoA
Emilio Rivera: Navaro Quintero in The Shield / Marcus Alvarez in SoA
Kurt Sutter: Margos Dezerian in The Shield / Otto Delaney in SoA
Jeff Kober: Bruce Rosen in The Shield / Jacob Hale, Jr. in SoA
Mo McRae: Derwin in The Shield / Tyler in SoA

About S2 E4, the guy burying pets in the backyard

Seems like there’s been a lot of talk about this weird moment and questioning why it happened. My interpretation- it demonstrated Danny’s racial bias and gullibility. After Danny shot the arab man she faced litigation on the prospect of anti-Arab discrimination. Based on her comment comparing the guy to Al-Qaeda a few days before the shooting I think she absolutely was racist. But then here comes this pretty white guy who’s doing something shady and weird and she’s willing to give it a pass and even flirts with him. Only after she realizes the scale of it is larger than she thought does she come to her senses. Danny’s trouble because whereas a lot of the cops in this show are visibly scary and unhinged, she gives the appearance of being well-adjusted when in reality she’s fucked up too.

What happens to some characters after the finale?

I just finished the series finale and I wonder what the future of some of the characters would be.

>!Olivia clearly wants Vic to screw up in some way so his deal evaporates and he goes to prison. Will he? We don't know what he was planning to in his final scene. I saw one review that suggested he might have been planning on finding some way to get some leverage that wouldn't keep him chained to a desk, but that doesn't seem likely to me. The feds would be crazy to trust him again. !<

>!How much can the courts actually pin on Ronny? We know what he's guilty of, but how much evidence do they have on him? Shane's letter and Vic's confession don't seem like enough without some corroboration. I don't think he'd get off scot-free but if he has a good enough lawyer, could he could probably get a lighter sentence? Maybe he knows a few things Vic may have forgotten...just enough to screw up Vic's deal?!<

>!I don't know any details about Witness Protection, but would Corrine be able to continue her nursing career in her new location? Or would that be too compromising? !<

>!We know Claudette is ill, so sadly we know what will eventually happen to her. !<

>!I think Dutch will call the Billings' lawyer and actually have a relationship. Maybe they'll even get married. !<

>!Danni will use Vic's crimes to get full custody of Lee and a restraining order so he'll have to leave her alone. She might even get Olivia to help push that through the system. !<

Most Disliked Characters.

I really dislike Mara. I didn't like her from the start. She was whiny, somewhat manipulative (with Shane) and seemed generally unpleasant. I'd mention she was borderline racist, but she was with Shane so that is sort of built in.

I didn't like Asceveda either. He started off looking like a standup guy, but I guess you have to get slime on your hands to be a politician.

This Line Hits so Hard...

...and it's from a character introduced in season 6, but I think it kind of sums up the whole series.

This is my second re-watch of the series, but this is the first time with subtitles. Some minor discrepancies aside, I really have enjoyed this re-watch even more than my previous experience.
