Do You Remember Your First Gaming Platform?

I was thinking about this recently and realized just how far gaming has come.

My very first gaming platform was a Commodore 64. It used cassette tapes to load games, which probably sounds crazy to younger gamers today! 😆

The funny thing is, it was so long ago that I honestly can't remember exactly how I got it or what games I played

So now I'm curious about everyone else here:

- What was your very first gaming platform?

- How did you get it?

- Do you still have it?

- What's one memory from it that you'll never forget?

I'd love to hear your stories and take a trip down memory lane together...

GTA 6 pricing revealed: €89.99 / $79.99 Standard, €109.99 / $99.99 Ultimate: worth it?

GTA 6 pre-orders start tomorrow, on June 25, and Rockstar has officially revealed the pricing:

Standard Edition: €89.99 / $79.99

Ultimate Edition: €109.99 / $99.99

For an extra €20 / $20, the Ultimate Edition includes exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, and other in-game content tied to Jason and Lucia's story. All pre-orders also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.

Personally, I'm struggling with the price.

€89.99 / $79.99 is already a lot for the Standard Edition, especially with GTA Online not launching alongside the game. Then Rockstar wants another €20 / $20 for mostly digital extras.

What do you think?

• Will you pre-order GTA 6?

• Standard or Ultimate Edition?

• Is the Ultimate Edition worth the extra €20 / $20?

• Does the lack of GTA Online at launch affect your decision?

• Has the pricing changed your plans at all?

Steam Machine pricing revealed: fair or too expensive?

The Steam Machine pricing appears to be:

512GB: €1,039 / $1,049

512GB + Controller: €1,108 / $1,128

2TB: €1,359 / $1,349

2TB + Controller: €1,428 / $1,428

The controller adds €69 / $79 to the price.

What are your thoughts?

Do you think the Steam Machine is fairly priced for the hardware it offers, or is it simply too expensive?

And what about the controller price? Is an extra €69 / $79 reasonable, or does that feel overpriced as well?

Would you consider buying one at launch, or has the pricing changed your mind?

Who’s pre-ordering GTA 6 on June 25?

With GTA 6 pre-orders reportedly starting on June 25 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, I'm curious:

Who here is planning to pre-order GTA 6?

- Pre-ordering day one

- Waiting for reviews

- Waiting for a discount

- Not buying at launch

And what price would you be willing to pay for the standard edition?

Event Coordinator wanted for an established, cozy adult gaming server

We are OlderChillGamers, a laid-back, cozy Discord community with around 180 members, dedicated to adult gamers who prefer a relaxed environment. Many of our members enjoy a mix of casual games, racing sims, and roguelikes, or simply hanging out and sharing life/pet updates.

While our server is active and very chill, we are looking for someone to help bring our solo players together by organizing low-pressure, casual events.

What we are looking for:

-Someone who loves organizing and connecting people.

Creativity to choose accessible games or formats (like casual hangouts, racing sessions, or high-score challenges) to get the ball rolling.

-A friendly, patient attitude that makes everyone feel welcome.

What you get:

-A dedicated role on the server.

-The necessary permissions to set up and manage events.

Full support from myself, though you will have the creative freedom to shape these weekly hangouts.

This is a voluntary role in a strictly non-toxic, adult community!

If this sounds like something you’d love to do, please send me a direct message (DM) with a little bit about yourself and your experience!

Posts no longer showing in Dutch (Automatic translation not working)

Hi, about an hour ago all posts finally were automatically shown in Dutch. I was very pleased with that. Unfortunately, now they are all back to English, Spanish,....

My settings for App Language and Content Language are both set to Dutch, and "Automatic translation" is turned ON. However, the posts remain in English.

How can I get the automatic Dutch translations back?
