Control Rahu via Ketu, truth or exaggeration ?

I have Rahu in Ardra nakshatra in 6th house, and Ketu in moola nakshatra in 12th house.

My Rahu mahadasha will start in 2032, and I have been a bit scared about it.

Watched some videos about Ardra nakshatra and people compare it with destruction followed by rebirth etc etc.

Anyway, there was one video that compared Rahu Ketu axis to a tree growing. Ketu is the root, Rahu is all the branches that grow in all direction. Rahu can branch out of control. So the video suggested that we need to control Rahu by focusing on Ketu. Ketu is what will give Rahu direction.

Is there truth to it? Or is it just another exaggeration in the age of social media ?

If this is true, then what does it mean for my particular Rahu Ketu axis? I should work hard, compete etc but also stay detached from materialistic things?? (Assuming that’s what Ketu in 12th demand)?

How to stop an attorney for representing my H1B immediately

I have an immigration lawyer that is working with my employer to file my H1B transfer. Unfortunately agreement between him and my employer (about fees) was verbal.

I received an RFE on case. He straight up said - “My fee for responding to this RFE will be another $20,000. Please transfer it in next few hours or I will respond in a way that concludes no-evidence on the case and H1B will be denied”

I am aware that we can file G-28 form with a new lawyer to take ownership. But even if we file G-28 right now, it takes several days for it to be processed in USCIS system. And of course this rogue lawyer is aware of that, which is why he put a deadline of few hours.

Is there anything that can be done which removes the lawyer from responding to cases right away?

Sending him termination notice effectively gives him free rein to mess up H1B application. We can talk all we want about reporting him later, but my H1B is done and I will have to go home.

Will calling USCIS help? Can they sort of “freeze” the case until G-28 processing is done?

Edit - Threat here isn’t that he won’t work on case anymore. Threat is that he will actively mess up the case. And he understands the timelines, which is why he gave us. Deadline. He isn’t stupid to give us 3-4 days to give him money. He knows we can change lawyers in that time. So suggesting - “if you don’t pay him, he will stop representing you” - or things like that aren’t going to work.

Second Edit - I know I should report him to BAR, but that doesn’t address my concern I mentioned in post.

Triphala powder use at night

I want use triphala to clean my digestive system. I heard we should take it at night time for that.

I have tried taking it with warm water and it’s extremely hard to drink (due to taste).

Is there any other way of consuming it that doesn’t defeat the very purpose of cleaning the gut.

Some YouTube videos said that we should NOT consume it with honey if we are taking it at night.

How much net worth needed to retire in India

I have been living outside of India for 20 years, so I am not fully aware of finances in India.

I will paint a picture, and hopefully people can give some ball park numbers.

Assuming I am 60 year old today and retiring today in 2026. I live in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). I already have a paid off flat (a three bedroom flat in a decent community) with market price of Rs 50 lakh. And let’s say I have a paid off car.

My needs would be having to pay for a maid for cooking, maid for cleaning, a driver that would be available for 8 hours a day.

From health perspective, I Want to be able to pay for a personal trainer 3 hours per week.

Obviously I want to be able to pay off electricity and phone bill, groceries etc.

Twice a year I would go to USA to spend time with kids. Only real expense would be flight tickets. Once I am in USA few months a year, living with my kids wouldn’t cost me money.

Maybe once or twice I would take budget vacations within India, like visiting Kerala or uttarakhand or Shimla for a week. But I am not looking for some extravagant vacations nor am I a fancy traveler.

So with this picture of a lifestyle, what should be my liquid asset net worth, assuming I live till 80 (so 20 more years to go).

Would Rs 2 crore be enough.

And if someone can drop extra knowledge on how that money should be invested, what should be withdrawal rate per year or throw some math in there, that would be great.

Got laid off on June 8 while on work visa

I work in USA on work visa. Got laid off on June 8. Technically they are keeping me on payroll until August 7.

After that I am on a 60 day clock. If I can’t find another job that sponsors my work visa, I will have to move to India.

So my questions are obvious and along same lines -

  1. when can I find a new job.
  2. will I even be able to find the job in USA
  3. is there relocation to India?
  4. is there relocation within USA?
  5. will income drop significantly ?
  6. will more layoffs occur in next one year (asking because I am going through ashtam dhaiya which started March 29, 2025).

Lost my job. Chances of getting new job in USA?

I live in USA on work visa. Lost my job yesterday. As per rules, we get 60 days to find a new job or else go back to India.

Any chances of finding job soon? Any chances of relocation (within USA or to India)? Any chances of income going down with next job?

Basically an open ended question. Anything you can tell about upcoming few months. Be it a financial angle or a job angle.

How will Rahu Mahadasha go?

Asking strictly from career and wealth point of view.

Currently going through Mars Mahadasha (it started Feb 2025). Many astrologers said - “Mars Mahadasha will be great”. But it brought job instability. Humiliation at work place. Got fired a lot. Earning less today than what I was 8 years ago.

Then astrologers switched to saying - “Oh it’s because of ashtama Shani (dhaiya). Everything will be great once that is over”. Doesnt matter how much it improves, lot of damage has been done already, even if things improve, Mars mahadasha would have e basically put me behind in life.

So I started thinking of a rahu mahadasha. Thats because I keep getting mixed responses on 6th house rahu as well. People talk about “Shatruhanta yog”, but honestly, I have been victim of office politics a lot, and it’s always me who had to quit/fired and get an even lower profile job. Others have continued in their life flourishing.

Moreover, just like my Mars mahadasha started with a dhaiya, rahu mahadasha will also start (2 years after Mahadasha starts) with a sade saati. I think my rahu mahadasha starts in 2032. Sade saati starts some time in 2034.

When does ashtama Shani starts to improve?

Leo moon sign. Going through ashtama Shani.

Ever since ashtama Shani started March 29, 2025, my career is going downhill. And it’s not “Rahu Antardasha” that’s giving me false illusion. I am legitimately falling behind in my work.

Any task assigned to me, I later realize I did not do a thorough job. My junior engineers are able to do things that I can’t.

I feel like I could get fired.

With ashtama Shani, does whole two and a half year stay this tough? Or is there a taper down period where things start to become easier?

In one year of ashtama Shani, my reputation at work is crushed. I don’t think I can survive another year and a half of it. A job loss means I lose my work visa and relocate to India (which isn’t bad in itself, but me working in USA helps me support my parents and sister’s family in India).

Stay in 9-5 job or start own business in long run?

Received two opposite predictions -

One celebrity astrologer (Astro Arun Pandit) mentioned that I will stay in 9-5 job environment. But at the same time he also mentioned that exalted Shani in tenth house means job won’t be stable. So he recommended I keep switching job every few years. On Job vs Business, he mentioned something like - “Points for you job is higher than points for business” (I assume he was talking about ashtavarga points …. Which I know nothing about).

Another astrologer that I frequently consult (and she is right 80% of the time, but not always right), said that it varies from mahadasha to Mahadasha. She mentioned that once Rahu Mahadasha starts in 2032, you will be forced out of 9-5 type job and you will be forced to do a business of your own. She suggested I start a business in field of health/wellness.

Just want to get more opinions on this. I personally feel burnt out by corporate culture and I don’t think I can succeed (I am already a 43 year old doing the same job that 27 years olds are doing .. and they are outperforming me … I am constantly getting warning about my performance).

But then again, I don’t have much idea around running my own business either.

Career seems to be goigg by downhill

Capricorn ascendant. Leo moon. Going through ashtama Shani. Mars mahadasha and Rahu antardasha right now. About to begin Jupiter antardasha in July.

Career started late. And due to age, I have never been able to compete with my younger colleagues. So career has been unstable. All that “Sasha Mahapurush Yoga” doesn’t seem like going to do anything for me.

And I heard Jupiter brings bad results in its mahadasha and antardasha.

Could I lose my job this July (when Jupiter antardasha starts).

Overall, will my career always be a drag (not succeeding, always underperforming, always first in line to be laid off)?

Possible job loss soon

Going through ashtama Shani phase. Job already not going well. Jupiter antardasha about to start in July 2026. Does this mean I could lose my job? I heard Jupiter is malefic for Capricorn ascendant.

Career seems to be going down

Some astrologers say that Saturn in 10th house means I will have good and long lasting career )I understand that it will be delayed and after lot of hard work).

While others say -“Yes it’s exalted, but at the end of the day it’s Saturn. It will impact your career and overall your career will be less/behind your peers”

I have had delayed start and I struggle to keep up with peers that are a decade younger than me.

I am on work visa in USA and feel like I could lose my job anytime.

Some astrologers say things that don’t add up - “your chart supports foreign settlement. But it is not very supportive of job in near future due to ashtama Shani phase you are going through.”

It doesn’t make sense because my foreign settlement is tied to me having a job (at least while I am on work visa).

Some say - “Mangal Mahadasha will be great for you, because mangal is exalted”

Some say - “Mangal is in Nakshatra of Sun, which is lord of 8th house, which is not great. So Mangal dasha will be problematic.”

So I am perpetually confused. What are your opinions on my career for next few years or overall career over my lifespan ?
