I wanted to share something beautiful that Mahmoud and his wife, Samah, have been doing thanks to your kindness and generosity.

After everything they’ve been through, and with your support helping them get through some incredibly difficult days, Mahmoud and Samah wanted to give something back in whatever way they could. They prepared chicken burgers for some of the children around them who have also been living through so much hardship.

Your generosity has meant so much to their family, and now they’re trying to pass a little of that kindness on to other children who deserve a good meal and a reason to smile.

I want to share a new update today about Susu, the daughter of my friends Mahmoud and Samah.

Two days ago, I told you about Susu, who is only two years old and has been suffering from severe, chronic breathing problems. Her symptoms came back, and she was struggling to breathe and had a very high fever.

Unfortunately, she hasn’t gotten better.

For the past two days, Soso has been vomiting repeatedly and couldn’t keep down her medication or antibiotics. As a result, she became dehydrated. Today, Mahmoud had to take her to a nearby hospital to get treatment.

She was given IV antibiotics and fluids for the dehydration, but the situation at the hospital is extremely difficult. There are so many patients that there was no available bed for Susu. With infectious diseases spreading and medical resources severely limited, Mahmoud had to find another way to get her the care she needed. He even had to ask a doctor who lives nearby to come and give Susu her IV treatment when the hospital couldn’t provide her with a bed.

Mahmoud told me something that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about: if it weren’t for the kind people who helped them financially over the past two days, he wouldn’t have been able to take Susu to the hospital or even afford the treatment she needed.

And Mahmoud isn’t only dealing with Susu’s situation.

His mother also needs open-heart surgery to treat blocked arteries. I previously shared her medical reports, detailed images, and heart tests, and I have documentation that confirms her condition.

Mahmoud is under an enormous amount of pressure right now. His little daughter needs treatment, his mother needs heart surgery, and at the same time he is trying to provide food and basic necessities for his wife and their four children in Gaza.

I am doing everything I can to support Mahmoud and his family, but I cannot carry all of this on my own.

Please, if you are able to, consider helping Mahmoud and his family. Even a small amount can make a huge difference right now, especially for Susu, who needs treatment and continued care.

For most of us, rain is just rain… but for Mahmoud, Samah, and their four children, the first rain in Gaza means water entering their tent, and another night of cold and fear beginning.

Today was the first day of rain in Gaza.

From far away, rain may look like something ordinary, or even beautiful. But for this family, there is no properly prepared shelter to protect them from it, no enough blankets to keep their children warm, and no winter clothes to protect them from the cold.

As you can see in the video, rainwater is already getting inside their tent. They are literally living with water coming into their shelter, and they have nowhere else to go.

Their situation has become even harder because their tent has badly worn out over time, and the tarps and plastic coverings they have been using are no longer enough to protect them from the rain. They have not been able to properly prepare their tent for winter.

They urgently need tarps and plastic sheets to cover the tent and prevent rainwater from getting inside.

They are also facing a severe shortage of blankets and warm winter clothes. Simply put, they do not have enough to keep themselves and their four children warm.

I know that watching rain from somewhere else can make it seem like an ordinary day. But for this family, the first rain is a reminder of how vulnerable they are and how little protection they have.

I want to share this video from Mahmoud and his family, especially after some people started questioning their story or leaving negative comments about them.

Mahmoud explains their situation clearly in the video, including how the money they receive reaches them through their friend Charbel, who manages their GoFundMe campaign.

I just hope that anyone who has doubts or questions will ask and try to verify things before making accusations or leaving comments that could hurt them.

And honestly, I hope that anyone leaving negative comments will think about the fact that they could end up affecting Mahmoud’s family and his children’s ability to get the basic things they need.
