Sound thru TV speakers via Roku

Currently using Plex thru a Roku Express 4K on our main OLED TV. Trying to decide on a sound system that fits the spot later, but I digress. Since we’re using the tv speakers I’m trying to decide where in Plex to set the sound so it plays properly on the this TV. We have another tv with a better setup so I want the 5.1 for that location.

I’m assuming I need to change the output more in the plex app on the Roku express than at the server source. Any advice here or do I need to downgrade the video file sources?

Level 20 Radium Rifle Legendary drop

I think it came off a glowing one in the armory. That said how useful is this and what mods should I consider. Are riflemen perks better for it?

Low crowds at the Wyndham?

Is it me or is there a low turn out for this event this week\weekend at least from TV viewing? Has anybody else ever gone to it, and is it a good event to attend? Or is it low attendance due to big names already in FedEx cup?

My former 1913 beauty

Miss this place and after having been there for 20+ years and dealing with a lot of the older home issues, we moved south to take care of family. It was a great solid home, I dared a tornado to try and take her. Great memories, and while I miss it, a new young family has her now.

Connectivity Package Expired, but I’m not sure I used it?

I just used Apple CarPlay wirelessly and Waze. Am I missing anything that would warrant getting it? Day to day use seems normal as before

Streak Notifications not working?

Seems like the streak popup in the app has gone away, I liked getting that little UI message. It’s not there anymore so I’m curious what happened?

18 Months later and left patellar subluxation persists

After replacement both knees were great, the left done the year before the right. In Nov of 2024 I stepped in a shallow hole and jammed the knee, and it’s been lingering since! It’s sometimes slides into place, lasts for a week, and the next time it does I’m going in for an xray to see if the patellar button shows up.

Been doing pt off and on to strengthen the VMO and stretch the IT band, but it’s been a long road. Some McConnell taping helps but it’s something I just got used to

New run, Tempines didn’t send me to Corvega

But to some field office. What’s funny is I left the station after completing the quest and was headed south and ran into Cricket on her way somewhere. Her caravan was running and I was able to engage her but didn’t have the money to get the Pray and Spray. Due to running and mutants I wasn’t able to find her again. I’m sure I can force it at diamond city, just haven’t discovered it yet, so to speak.

Was this just luck finding her like that on her way someplace?

New Member, same old issues

I'm an adult child of alcoholic parents, and my father has pushed us to what feels like a breaking point.

Back in March, we found him in very bad shape in the apartment where he was living alone. For about three years, my wife and I had been enabling him in ways we justified as "keeping the peace." Every week we'd buy him two 1.75-liter bottles of scotch so he wouldn't drive to get it himself. It allowed him to stay at arm's length and appear to be taking care of himself.

On March 6, things finally came to a head. We had to call 911 and get him to the hospital. He spent 10 days there going through alcohol withdrawal with a Valium taper. After that, he went directly to short-term rehab for eight weeks. With regular meals, PT, OT, and structure, the transformation was incredible. Honestly, I had maybe a 1% hope that he'd ever get sober or improve, and he proved me wrong.

After rehab, we moved him into an independent/assisted living facility where meals are provided and he has support while still maintaining some independence.

Then a lady friend came to visit. Despite us specifically asking her not to bring alcohol, she brought a bottle of wine. He relapsed. After she left, he started asking us to buy him scotch again. We refused. He then began having alcohol shipped to him from Florida.

You can probably guess where things have gone from there.

Today he asked me to buy him a bottle. I'm struggling with what to do. Part of me wants to keep the peace and avoid the conflict. Another part of me knows exactly where that road leads because we've already traveled it for years.

He no longer drives, so that particular safety concern is gone. I guess my question is: How do you handle the guilt when you stop enabling? How do you separate compassion from helping someone continue their addiction?

Maybe this is partly a vent, but I'd appreciate any experience, strength, or hope from others who have been here.

My first lucid MallWorld dream

Was this past morning, woke up at 5am but got back to sleep and realized I was dreaming, but even said aha, I’m in mallworld. This time since I was lucid I knew not to visit the bathrooms and looked for stores and people. It was quite difficult at first (having actually worked in a mall with all the back hallways) to find stores and people but I eventually did. Had to fight to stay in the dream but it was my first lucid one there
