Broken foreleg? Will she need help eating now?

So noticed this morning my mantis had its back leg in a weird position, thought unusual but nothing of it.

A few hours later I notice it hasn’t moved so went to open the viv and it moved. However I notice its forearm appears broken maybe?

Unsure if it occurred when moving or as a result of it being stuck in that position.

Will it need help now to hunt/eat?

To keep or not 🤔

Bought this for £50 on the basis it was a small men’s. Turns out it’s a 14yo size 150-155.

So wrists come up quite short. But it seems to be a pretty uncommon piece.

I’m not too knowledgable with clothes but wanted to dabble by buying a few bits I could at least make my money back on if I get bored of them or just not my vibe. At £50 is it a bit overpriced or bang on?

I sell vintage watches for a living so whilst I don’t mind paying over the odds for something I like I am always a bit value conscious on things, moreso when they’re not quite perfect I guess 😅

Thanks all!

Was £50 too much for this CP company? I think c. 2000s

I’ve been getting into designer brands this past year, decided I’d take a punt on a few bits here and there in the same way I did watches - which was try buy at a price I think I can at least make my money back if it’s not for me.

So far have a large vintage Cabourn jacket I love, a limited edition Cabourn rucksack jacket and now this.

Thing is I bought it as a small mens but it’s a size 14 150-55 - so a 14yo size. I’m conflicted as I think it’s super cool but obviously a bit small for me and unsure if I would make my money back trying to sell it later 😬

How to improve air flow in this enclosure?

Was recommended this by a local place last month when it was clear this mantis needed something much bigger.

But humidity is always so high and it’s getting a lot of slime mould build up a result.

Would be good if the company that makes them offered a mesh top panel, perhaps one needs to be fashioned although don’t like my chances cutting acrylic successfully 😅

How stringent are you with blocking buyers?

Just curious as I sometimes feel I’m maybe biased simply due to the experiences I’ve had with buyers.

This week for example I had a buyer offer £470 on an item then retract it and offer £440. Then immediately ask my best price.

I countered a bit higher than their original offer (which was about £80 off). They accepted and paid but of course the following morning asked to cancel.

Now that’s fine, people can change their mind but the reason I would consider blocking someone like that is I have found the buyers most fussy on price and so skittish when buying are often those that ask for discounts or a return later. I just cba to potentially deal with it and had I sent it out I’d biasedly bet they’d have done just that 😅

Anyone else the same? Anyone else the opposite and scarcely block people?

I am not particularly well versed in vintage fashion but big fan of shackets, wool shirts (like Pendleton) etc and recently acquired this stunning Cabourn jacket (which needs a little tailoring to fit). I am pretty short and skinny and like an oversized fit.

However most of what I like/own is heavy. I do have a short sleeve denim shirt but even that is pretty heavy for hot weather and my Pendleton or Woolrich shirts are long sleeve . I think ideally need a solution that’s single layer.

I feel like just a t shirt is a bit boring? Now 31 (M) with a kid and selling vintage watches for a living, I would like something that reflects that - smart but airy and vintage to match the career/passion.

Maybe it’s less about the top and more about the leg wear, which is something I tend to neglect?

I only wear a handful of the few clothes I own so I am open to spending a bit more on designer brands, like Cabourn, that will be staples for years to come.
