Me and my husband’s skincare routine 2

Thank you so much for all the love on the last gel mask post with my husband lol. The comments were so funny that He’s lowkey enjoying this now 😂 (He’s not usually into slapping stuff on his face but he actually got a kick out of reading the reactions too!)

We used Biodance again, it’s my favorite gel mask. A lot of you asked about it last time so I’m sharing!

This time I gave him a full sheet instead of the leftover scraps. He’s normally the type to flat-out refuse anything like this, but for some reason he actually let me put it on him without complaining. He still said “two little pieces were enough for me” lol.

Espoir Be Velvet Cushion Review for Oily + Redness Skin

Skin type: combo/oily with redness
Location: Florida

Florida summer is no joke for oily skin… the humidity is actually crazy right now. My T-zone and nose are pumping out oil like crazy and my redness is way more obvious.

I usually stick to matte cushions that have solid coverage and last long, and I’ve been testing the Espoir Be Velvet Cushion lately. So far I’m really impressed! I use shade 23.

The best part? It doesn’t feel dry at all. Even though it’s matte, it applies with a nice bit of moisture. It also covers and calms my redness really well.

Of course my nose still gets shiny, but it doesn’t break down or look cakey! It actually blends with my natural oil pretty naturally. The rest of my face holds up great with zero darkening. The last pic is after 12 hours of wear at night! (2nd pic: before makeup/ 3rd: right after makeup)

Anyone else tried this cushion? How’s it holding up for you? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Me and my husband’s skincare routine

If you use gel masks, you know the struggle! Those leftover eye and mouth cutouts always feel too good to throw away.

I used to just slap them on my smile lines, but one day I randomly stuck them on my husband’s face… and he actually enjoyed it lol.

Now every time I pull out a mask he’s like “save the extras for me” 😂
We’ve officially reached couple skincare era.

Frizzy curly hair really needs daily hair serum

I dye my hair every 3 months because of grays, so my hair is pretty damaged and I end up trying a ton of hair products.
When I was in Korea I went to Olive Young and kept hearing about Mise En Scene, so I bought 3 bottles. I’m already on my second one and honestly it’s great for the price.
I put 1-2 pumps on after towel drying but before blow drying and it works perfectly. No greasiness or heavy feeling at all.
There are so many pricey hair serums out there, so if you’ve tried Mise En Scene, what other affordable ones do you like for frizzy curly hair? I wanna try a few more!
Drop your recs please.

Attached are before-and-after photos.

Tea is actually fun now and I wasn’t expecting that

I’ve always been a hardcore coffee drinker but my tea-obsessed friend gifted me an Osulloc tea collection.
I used to think tea was kinda boring, but this set has so many fun mixes with fruits and flowers that I actually got interested lol.

The weirdest one to me is the Fig Chocolate Black Tea. Just the name sounds crazy, I couldn’t even picture what it would taste like.

There are also ones like Jeju Camellia Tea and Honey Pear Tea that I’ve never heard of. The scents are all so strong and unique that I keep opening them just to smell.

I had no idea tea could be this varied! It feels like a whole new world now. Lately I’ve been picking a different tea bag every morning instead of coffee.

If you’re getting into tea, what are some good beginner-friendly ones or brands you’d recommend? I need more suggestions!

My Night-Before Skincare Routine for Important Days: Tips for Skin That Eats Makeup. Yours?

Sharing my routine for the night before a big event or a day I need makeup to look perfect! I did the exact same routine, did my makeup the next day, and added a photo too.
It’s not super complicated or anything lol, hope it helps!

  1. Gentle exfoliation
When I wash my face I lightly exfoliate with a super mild product. I like using an enzyme powder for this!

  2. Load up on hydration
Right after washing, while my skin is still damp, I layer on toner like crazy.

  3. Cream pack to lock everything in
This part is the most important!!
I slather on a thick layer of my usual cream all over my face, cover it with plastic wrap, then put a warm steamed towel on top for a bit to help it soak in deep.
Don’t make it too hot though, be careful!
After a few minutes take off the wrap and gently pat in whatever’s left. Done!

This is the matcha latte recipe I’ve been making a lot lately. It’s so much easier and more convenient than buying one from a cafe, so I’ve been experimenting with different combinations and this is my go-to right now.
I usually make it with matcha powder and milk foam for a smooth and creamy texture. Adding coconut water or fruit compote makes it lighter and gives it a refreshing twist. The flavor isn’t too strong so it goes well with lots of different ingredients. I change it up depending on how I feel that day.

[Recipe]
Matcha powder (OSULLOC Volcanic Isle Matcha Powder)
Milk foam
Coconut water or fruit compote (optional)
