What's the ID
This is more of an informative post than actually asking for an ID.
I see posts daily asking for tree ID's and no info other than a single picture.
These three pictures show blooms from the same tree that all bloomed within a few days of eachother.
As you can see, there is a drastic difference between the blooms.
Shape, color and size are all different.
Weather conditions, watering, feeding, and growing conditions all play a role in bloom development.
There are 1000's of trees that all look similar to eachother, especially in cooler weather. Seedlings can look very much like another tree, but are not the same.
If you buy a tree and it did not come with a name, it is a NoID (No identification). There is no way to identify its lineage unless you go direct to the grower. Like if you have a Jim Little, Jungle Jack's or Herzog's variety, you can reach out to them and ask the ID of the tree and they may be able to help ID it.
Then you have nurseries that change the name of known varieties that makes things even more confusing for growers.
If you have a tree and you dont know the name, it'll be a NoID. Nothing wrong with NoID trees, they have beautiful blooms as well.
NKD and into the pocket it goes
U/Streetglow29 it's been unboxed. I think I'm going to play with some sandpaper this weekend and hope for some more white. I'm happy with the blue and red, I just dont want to loose it all to black and the silver.
