A potential solution to decreasing birthrates

I’m open to being wrong so feel free to tell me if this is just nonsense.

We need to streamline all types of education. I understand it depends on the country but I think in general around the world a student graduates high school/secondary school at around 18. Then go on to attend a university for 4-5 years then perhaps even more schooling if you aim to go into the medical or legal field which can add on many years of mandatory education. And even if you choose a career where the required qualifications are quicker to obtain, it can take multiple years to reach a salary that you’re satisfied with, assuming you manage to find a job in your desired field. Thus creating the modern problem of people not being confident in themselves to have children until their late 20s and 30s.

All this should be sped up to give people at least half a decade more time to decide on having a baby. Students should graduate high school/secondary school at around 13-14 then immediately go onto specialized schooling which should also be streamlined as much as reasonably possible. So if you want to become a doctor you can be licensed one at 23 or 24 instead of 29 or becoming a certified lawyer at 20 instead of 25. Whether you choose you’ll ideally have at the minimum five more years to have a child.

In addition to hopefully having good salaries, cheap housing, and maternal and other welfare benefits from the government. Which are things I’m sure everyone supports but on their own they likely won’t raid the birth rate by a lot in the long term, it would need to be accompanied by giving people more time to be young and have children. To clarify, I don’t think this would drastically increase the birth rate to anything satisfactory but nonetheless I do believe it would raise it by a noticeable amount.

What do you think about e voting?

Basically facilitating the voting process as much as possible. Hypothetically there would be a secure government website/app to vote via computer or phone in elections instead of going to a polling site or mailing in vote. Would you like to see it for all local and national elections in future ?

Social media should actually be abolished

On YouTube there’s literally tens of thousands of videos encouraging the idea of “no surf” or just avoiding social media altogether for extended periods of time. I’ll go one step further and advocate for the end of social media. It actually should be a crime to host a website or application where large groups of strangers can communicate. Texting apps like Imessage, WhatsApp, and perhaps Discord (big maybe) can stay.

If you ask someone what they think about social media everyone is gonna have something bad to say labeling it bad, toxic, distasteful, terrible, and harmful to humanity and yet everyone uses it because of how addictive it is. Stuff like doomscrolling, modern streaming, algorithm manipulation, loneliness crisis, bad people being made famous, clout chasing, increasing polarization, AI content, TikTok as a whole, and of course horrible crimes being facilitated are just reasons why we must do away with social media.

And I’m 26 years old I don’t even remember a time without social media so I’m not some old man yelling at the clouds.

MMW: within a couple years the police and government agents will start utilizing augmetic helmets

Date- 2028-2030

Evidence- with the rise of social media and anti-law enforcement sentiment coupled with the advancement in AI, the fear of being a police officer or any type of law enforcement and being doxxed will continue going up. In the United States, ICE has utilized masks and it generally has worked for most of them to avoid being exposed online and with AI and technology just getting better, I believe very soon we’ll see helmets wherein the near future officers and government agents might be able to use to that hide their identity, provide augmented reality displays, that can also use technology such as face recognition that immediately let the officer know if you have a warrant or pose any threat, also automatic scanning of documents, vehicles, and any lethal objects nearby, as well as the ability to call in backup and communicate with other officers silently. It is already being looked at by engineers and government officials and I see it being rolled out by the end of the decade.

People should stop using video game terminology in casual speech

Words like meta, lore, Nerf, buff, side quest, final boss, NPC, spawn, GG, loot, skill issue, speedrun etc.

I am tired of them being used in conversations outside of a video game context obviously. They usually sound very forced and cringey and it makes real life issues sound like a video game. It’s hard to tell if the people are taking the topic seriously or not if they’re constantly using video game terms and it makes real life conversations like more online talk rather than truly real. The famous YouTuber, Penguinz0, is the epitome of this and I’m seeing it more and more and even older people use them now.

How should society respond to possibly new discoveries relating to trans people in the future?

Ok the title is super vague but I’ll be more specific since it’s multiple questions. It is possible in the coming decades for there to be new discoveries that could extend the discussion on transgender rights.

The first one is that in the coming decades it is possible for doctors to determine if a fetus in the womb has a higher chance of developing gender dysphoria in the future. If that happens do you foresee it being an issue if parents wish to abort if it’s detected their baby will likely develop gender dysphoria?

The second one is that in the future it’s likely there will be better testing with the help of AI that could predict with high accuracy if someone will benefit from medically transitioning to the opposite sex. If that happens should liberals still support younger people who want to transition but the test predicts they won’t experience long term improvement?

The third one is unlikely any time soon but it might come to fruition in the far future and it’s a daily pill that could be given to someone which will get rid of their gender dysphoria so they feel more comfortable with being the sex they were born as. If that becomes reality, could that radically change the transgender debate?

For people who speak a different language what’s the general political scene online in in those non-English spaces ?

Like for English as we know it’s pretty Polarized obviously but generally left leaning on most major platforms save for most of Twitter, Facebook, and some subreddits. There’s more to say but I’m more curious what other political non English sides of the internet are like. I speak Spanish and I don’t want to answer my own question but there definitely are some notable differences.

Viability of outlander claw in 11th

I played outlander claw first time against Tau and CSM and I got absolutely demolished. While in 10th I usually always made it more of a closer game even if I lost. outlander claw of course relies tremendously on jailing opponents with bikes but now in 11th it just feels like there’s so much more ground to cover compared to 10th. The objective markers are bigger and I feel like the terrain leaves more gaps for the enemy to shoot at the jackals and vehicles behind. On top of that enemy vehicles and monsters can just pass through the jackals.

Is it too early to tell or did I just play bad and others are doing fine with a bike and vehicle heavy outlander claw lists?

One interesting thing from the new book “Da Freebooterz Code”

I’ve never had this in a previous book besides maybe some guardsmen.

there was a character who had 100% good intentions and just wanted to help the poor and impoverished and sick of a space port where she lived. She wanted to overthrow the leadership just to help the workers and their families. She was not a Genestealer nor a chaos cultist or Guevesa. She was just a normal Lady who wanted to aid people because she’s kind.

Has this happened before in other 40K books?

A question about the future of the Aquiles Ridgerunner mortar

(I hate asking questions that people have already asked so please link me to the thread if this has been posted about before )

Correct me if I’m wrong but Due to the nerf to indirect fire and only being able to hit on 6s unless a fellow unit sees that enemy unit then it’s 4+ for the mortar, wouldn’t this render the “spotter” ability useless? And only the survey augur one being viable?

Many questions about in lore Genestealer cults

I’m already familiar with GSC lore In a cult but this has perplexed me. If there’s no clear answer in lore then just use fanon but please state if so

On average what percentage of the cult are actually part of the family in other words part of the brood cycle and what percentage are just brainwashed but grew up outside the cult?

Are neophyte hybrids pretty chill and helpful and kind with regular people on a planet who aren’t in cult like at work or in imperial guard their colleagues or are they always manipulating and plotting like 24/7 grind to take over? Do they have personal goals and ambitions outside of the GSC ways and training to fight on day of ascension?

Who knows the truth of the Tyranids/Star children fate? I remember in the Ascenion day novel the main character (I think her name was Davin) asked the cult Biophagus if he knew they were gonna be devoured and I think he just had a guilty and shameful look but he never said anything (if I’m remembering right). So does the Magus and Primus of the cult and all neophyte and acolyte hybrids know they’ll be consumed at the end and they don’t care. And obviously the unlucky brainwashed ones don’t know. (also like the main assassin in day of ascension book)

And when the Tyranids do come and the cultists are cut off from the hive mind are the aforementioned neophyte and acolyte hybrids and leaders affected ? Or only the brain washed humans are cut off and are affected ?

When Tyranids do arrive do they ever fight with the cultists side by side before they cut get off by hivemind until winning or the tyranids come and eat you regardless if you’re a part of the broodmind

Can purestrain Genestealers speak gothic? I think in Ascension day they did or who was Davien talking to when meeting the eldars?

And the Genestealers who join the astra Militarum, are other guardsman like Cadians just blind? Do they think every guardsman (brood brother) from this one planet has alopecia? How do they not know they look too malformed to be acceptable? Or do models exaggerate it and there are cultists who have hair and look normal ?

Can GSCs coordinate help from other planets and also coordinate plans to take over a new one and sending cultists to that one before Tyranids come to the other one? Because I know some cultists do manage to leave planet and help take over another secretly as usual? I assume the biggest cult in galaxy, the cult of the four armed emperor must do this a lot.

I may have asked one twice sorry

Da Freebooterz Code quick review. A very entertaining novel.

Spoiler free.

It is Absolutely the funniest 40K book I’ve ever read. I laughed out loud more times than the last 10 Warhammer books I read combined. Although It might be the same for you depending on your sense of humor but if you enjoy Ork novels this is definitely a super entertaining one. With that being said there was still a lot of tense and serious moments especially from the Human point of view chapters and at the end.

The book is pretty easy to follow. It takes place in a secluded area of space and there are only really 6 characters, three from the Ork side and three from humans side that are really relevant in the novel. It’s about a former Bad Moons member now captaining a Freebooterz ship feuding with a rogue trader and both have something to prove. A pretty simple plot but there are interesting dynamics that are shown throughout the novel.

I haven’t read a lot of Ork novels but One thing I noticed is that most Orks in other novels were brutal but could be cunning while in Da Freebooterz Code all the main Orks were cunning but could be brutal. A subtle but noticeable difference.

Overall I’d give it a 9/10. The ending I feel was a bit messy but in general the book doesn’t drag on a lot and there’s plenty of hilarious and interesting moments and quotes in pretty much every chapter. I’d totally recommend it to everyone who wants. A more lighthearted book while still showing the true grimdark of 40K.
