Weird feeling- Grateful that I was never able to get into BTS or fully dive into Blackpink 😭😭😭😭

Like I was never fully able to get into BTS because the music they were making at the time wasn’t for me and I still wasn’t fully okay with the idea of liking a kpop group and that’s okay!! I thought years later I could revisit them, the fandom has been miserable and their behavior has been awful since BTS has came back from military service- it just has been getting worse and worse as the months went on 😭

Adding to that BTS recent behavior has given me such an ick that the interest has completely fizzled out 🫤🫤

However with Blackpink…. In some ways they were my first kpop group (around the DDUx4 era) BUT their releases were so inconsistent I was never able to fully dive into them and the fandom culture for them was already really bad- I did not want to sign up for that 😭😭

Now…. we got the 3/4 in n-word scandals with no apologies and a half ass birthday live with all the members apologizing (notice how they didn’t apologize for saying racial slurs but apologized cause their fans were frankly rightfully pissy but I digress 😭😭)

Even tho Blackpink was technically my first Kpop group I would likely never say that they brought me into the kpop world because at the time…. it was only Blackpink (every 1-2 years) and maybe a catchy kpop song I heard on Just Dance 😭😭

So yeah lol in a way I’m glad the fandoms drove me away because they saved me from a lot mental gymnastics and drama

I’m sick and tired of Stray Kids being kpop fans punching bags

Every time and I mean EVERY FUCKING TIME there are problems in other groups/fandoms they somehow have to find a way to blame or drag SKZ into it and it genuinely makes no sense because literally 100% of the time it hasn’t nothing to do with them?!?!??!

And this isn’t like a one time issue, I feel like it has been on and off BUT it has been especially bad this year because it has been CONSTANT hiatuses/departures 😭😭

The Xdinary Heroes fans- Gunil getting kicked out was really sad and I would even call it a bit hasty BUT what does it have to do with Hyunjin bullying scandal? It has been confirmed it was essentially a misunderstanding and I recall correctly he still apologized to the person 😭😭

Their situations are not the same- Hyunjin was in middle school and it was a misunderstanding, Gunil is 28 and he unfortunately trusted someone that he shouldn’t have…. like come on now 🫩🫩

RM and J-hope getting rightfully criticized for going to a Chris Brown concert but instead of criticizing them they brought up how Chan recommended a SONG by him in 2018-2019 to try to justify and deflect…. even at the time he was rightfully criticized and not only hasn’t mentioned him since but someone in the company (or one of the 3Racha members) found the password to their 3Racha account (which they haven’t used since 2019-2020) to unfollow him when Stays brought that up in the last year

And even then idfc offhandley recommending a song is NOT THE SAME as TRAVELING to his concert (because apparently BTS aren’t in Canada till next week for their tour) and taking a picture with him like y’all all buddy buddy 😭😭

Heeseung left Enhypen? So I’m blocking SKZ and blaming Bang Chan for it 😭😭

Can’t give SKZ their flowers without being downvoted to hell or mentioning how another group did it better

OR when you criticize a song the automatic response is “you are a stay” which I guess that means we can’t have opinions 🫩🫩

Like it’s getting to the point where these people are more obsessed and talk about them more than their actual fans and it exhausting 😭😭

Like I really really really REALLY tried to gaslight myself about this but nah I’m tired there is a certain vitriol that other kpop fans have towards SKZ and I will never understand because as of rn? They just had their CB and minding their own damn business and likely preparing for their other tour stops because of they’ll likely have a new set list

I do feel like stays can be a bit more of the defensive side and it can be a bit much at times but after seeing how this BTS/Chris Brown situation is getting played out…. yeah I can kind of see why we get a bit defensive 😭😭

Yeah I think that’s it for rn lol- my b it’s a lot 😅😅

I THINK some of y’all are using “OT4” wrong 😭😭

Emphasis on the think lol but maybe cause I hang out it more kpop spaces but I always interpret OT# as how many members are currently in the group and you can’t choose your bias/favorite- not how many people are currently ACTIVE in the group if ykwim 😭😭

Like it’s silly thing to point out lol but when a member in a kpop group member goes on hiatus it is never going to be OT minus that one member- it’ll always be how many members are in that group current lineup- no matter what lol

Yeah that’s about it lol just a little food for thought- have a good day 😗😗✌🏾✌🏾

I want to talk about Ariana Grande….

I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to her new album yet but I did get a chance to watch her new music video and I’m just going to link the post because the pics are bad and I know that shit is hella triggering for some people so viewer discretion advised 😭😭

Ariana Grande has always been in the thinner side but pre Wicked she at the very minimum looked healthy (I’m saying “looked” healthy because I’m pretty sure she confirmed that during this time period she was mentally unhealthy and drinking a lot). She went thin but having idk a bit of muscle mass to gaunt and borderline unwell and I am tired of pretending what is happening to her is okay 🫤🫤

She wears super high heels at her shows and you can tell she barely has the strength to stand in those shoes, gets easily winded when dancing the choreographies she does have, every pic I see of her you can clearly see her >!clavicle and ribcage!<, and I feel like it’s more but these are my main thoughts and it has been happening since Wicked but it had gotten worse in this past year.

There was a pic of her next to a fan the other day and they were around the same size if not smaller… like that’s not normal cause the fan was like nine years old 😭😭

I really hope she gets help soon- I mean that because apparently no one in her corner is telling her otherwise because what I’m seeing isn’t okay and they way that she is heading I am petrified about that headline coming on my screen.

Katseye new doc and my fear that they may use Manon “hiatus” to promote it 😭😭

I have this fear that with Katseye new doc that they will announce Manon departure either right before the film is set to release and my even bigger fear is that they are going to announce her departure during the doc (AKA- people have to pay to confirm their answers)

(Also it’s not even an IF anymore- it’s a when they announce it)

JTBC I know that this sounds kind of crazy but with the way Hybe has been moving with this hiatus I can unfortunately see it play out like this 😭😭 (the doc itself unfortunately already felt like a cash grab 🫤🫤)

I personally feel like having Manon status still in limbo is a promotion tactic for Katseye ATP

I promise you if this is how it plays out, especially the second scenario, while I love all the girls still in Katseye they would get blocked on all platforms without a second thought- like I won’t even relatively follow them like I have been doing the past couple of months because I get frustrated and sad everytime they promote “sisterhood” when one of the core part of the group is not only missing but IMO is being used as a promotion tactic for the remaining members of Katseye. I know it’s not their fault but I’m tired of seeing black women get the short end of the stick when it comes to these girl groups 🫤🫤

So yeah- thanks for coming to my Ted Talk 😙✌🏾

OH- and one last fuck you to Hybe x Geffen for ruining the magic OT6 had because that can never recreate that magic that they had as six as five.

Do you ever think about how Lee Know casually had his tatas out in front of the president 😭😭

Honestly this specific hair run for Lee Know (unicorn, blonde, oreo) lives rent free in my head 😭😭😭😭

But the blonde ESPECIALLY was an era and THIS OUTFIT?! This may be top ten Lee Know outfits- it honestly may be top 5 for me 😭😭

I honestly can make a whole separate post about Lee Know hair during this era (I can do a single post with just the blonde 😭😭) cause ALL the colors were a serve 😌😌👏🏾👏🏾

But I’m just laughing that this man can be fully covered at concerts and music shows but just casually has his tits damn near out in front of the prez 😭😭 (cause even if ONE button popped it would’ve been overrrrrrr- especially for Stays cause they could barely handle this 😭😭)

Ending this by saying Lee Know…. I promise you it’s okay to be an outfit repeater 😭😭

Guess which tracks are getting a music video (or an unveil)

Besides Run It and This & That it seems like two? Maybe three of these other tracks are getting a MV (based on the schedule if my predictions are correct lol) so I wanted to guess which ones :):)

I feel like Farming and Way Out are giving music video- if I had to guess a third it’ll be I Do.

So excited for this album rollout 🤩🤩👏🏾👏🏾

“Do you know how embarrassing it is to perform after Stray Kids”

This is a quote that I have always seen brought up for like TikTok edits because I knew a kpop idol said it but I didn’t know which one and couldn’t find it so I thought it was just like rookie group member in passing so I just went about my day not thinking about it 😭😭

I was so surprised when I saw kpop idol who said that was Key for Shinee!!

I don’t follow Shinee much but I always check out their performances so I know they are known for being performance powerhouses so coming from them that’s one of the highest compliments to SKZ

But yeah that’s it lol this may have been common knowledge but I recently just figured out who said that quote 😭😭

Can I talk about how embarrassing it is that my city was able to sell out Chris Brown…. for three nights 🫩🫩

I’m linking to this post right here because it what inspired me to make this post but ima keep it short and sweet

It’s fucking embarrassing- point blank period. People bring up Rihanna obviously saying that shit was “years ago” and people need to move on cause Rihanna apparently forgave him 😭😭

If she wants to forgive him then honestly good on her ME HOWEVER- fuck that low taper fade toad and his supporters. They act like he wasn’t acting a fool and being abusive AFTER Rihanna- like y’all are fucking dense 😭😭

But cool on you for spending y’all money and time for a colorist women beater and a Diddy defender- more power to ya 😭😭😀😀

I was going to make the post when they used it for the game but I thought it was going to be a one off but then I saw people actually like…. using the pool for it’s intended purpose this season and idkw that made me so happy 😭😭

Does anyone think “Wild” was supposed to release earlier?

Hi everyone!! This is my first post on here after just looking at this subreddit for a while so I apologized if this question was already asked :):)

I’m not sure if this is pointing out the obvious or not (apologies if it is lol) because I haven’t seen anyone talking about it but it’s been on my mind for a bit- I just have a feeling that Wild was supposed to be released earlier than August 14th 😭😭

I had a feeling that everything pinky up related and maybe some (if not all) songs on the EP had Manon voice in it. With the way Manon is being phased out I wouldn’t be shocked if they are using this time to re-record the music and retaking pictures for the album (maybe the MV but I don’t think so- still not sure about that one 😅😅)

I feel like the plan was to always announce it at Coachella but the release was suppose to be in like May/June 😭😭

How was Hyunjin treated during his hiatus?

BEFORE YOU JUDGE PLEASE LISTEN!!

I posted this question on the SKZ subreddit and said that I may post it here but ima just do it here 😅😅

This may be bringing up some old feelings but for the Stays during that time how was Hyunjin treated during his hiatus? I mean was he like still mention either loudly or subtly by the members or was he like no mentions/elephant in the room type of topic?

I was asking this because I was talking to my co-worker the other day about Manon hiatus and comparing other hiatuses to this to emphasize whatever the hell is happening to her isn’t the “norm” with kpop hiatuses but I only have the perspective of groups from this year who are still mentioning their member who are on hiatus

So I would appreciate a bit of insight thank you!!!!

EDIT: I guess the question is more like did the company or SKZ at any point make it feel like Hyunjin was out of the group 😭😭

Have you had that moment where you REALLY like a song from a group you don’t relatively follow…. just to figure out their more dedicated fans disliked it?

I watched CHOOM by Baby Monster after a seeing a clip on feed and I’m OBSESSED- it been on repeat for me …. but then I look and see the sentiments on Threads and Reddit was not the same 😅😅

If I recall correctly, even the post that made me check out the song was dissing it- but even if they weren’t the comments definitely were 😭😭

It really just put things in a new perspective for me lol 😅😅

Them (probably being told) not to mention Manon was weird and I won’t be gaslit into thinking differently 😭😭

So for context Katseye went to the AMAS yesterday (they won three awards- aka every category they was nominated for so congrats to them 👏🏾👏🏾) and they gave a speech for one of the rewards (because for some reason all the awards were given backstage which is a little odd but I digress 😭😭)

They mention Bang PD and BTS…. but not there missing member 😀😀

I just want to be clear- I’m not blaming the girls I’m very much aware that they are probably in between a rock and a hard place so that they can’t do much about this situation

HOWEVER the same grace is not given to their fuck ass company because what are we even doing at this point 😭😭

They need to give an update about Manon status like yesterday…. because the awards they won are from the Beautiful Chaos era which SHE WAS APART OF, she is missing so many milestones, Manon AND Katseye both are getting dogged on because of the company incompetence 😭😭

Like seriously what is the end goal when all this is finally resolved?!?! 🫤🫤

Katseye just announced their “world tour”…. I feel like they are playing in our faces ATP 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

The outfits are fucking awful and I’m sick and tired of them consistently being put in lingerie and calling it an outfit and having other people (as well as myself) gaslighting me into thinking it’s cute or okay 😭😭

EDIT: I just want to say the only outfit that’s even somewhat redeemable is Daniela- the rest absolutely not MAYBE Lara and Yoonchae…. with actually shorts or pants 😭😭(I reallyyyyyy want to like Yoonchae look….but something about it makes it a no- likely the underwear as a bottom 😭😭)

You’re doing a world tour that basically going to be the same set list as your last tour (besides the 4 new songs from their EP…. yippee I guess 🙃🙃) all while having Manon status still in limbo…. like please don’t piss me off

Oh and they are doing arenas instead of theaters this time around so now the question is will it sell because so many kpop acts are going on tour and Katseye is relatively popular but idk (especially them picking days where most people are in school 😭)

The funny thing is they are coming to my city (they skipped last tour) and a couple of months ago I would’ve JUMPED on the opportunity but now I really couldn’t be bothered. I feel my interest in Katseye fading the longer Manon on hiatus- like truly 🫤🫤

The only limitation I have is it has to be a Friday (cause they usually release on Fridays if I’m not mistaken- ET at least 😭😭) - I was mainly thinking of Korean releases but if you want to include a Japanese dates you fs can!!

Ima just put my guesses down (Korean release)

June 26th

July 3rd or 10th

I may be wrong but I feel they usually try to space out when they release so I maybe not a August release this year cause they released one last year?
Idk lol but these are my guesses as of right now

I’ll come back when the trailer is released and your prize will be a virtual hug (or high five if you ain’t into that) and my thanks for participating 🤗🤗

EDIT: The only thing I want to add is I believe it’ll be after Governors Ball but before Rock in Rio (and unless they release a trailer like literally this week it’ll fs be after 😭😭)
