Being so exhausted from drinking all day while your child is hundreds of miles away is not postpartum depression. Choosing yourself over your child consistently for years is not postpartum depression.

The origin story behind why she’s called Toots is so hilarious you guise! Alex, being the first and only bestest (not yet single) disabled mom, had to be in charge of baby’s feeds. So she was fed flat on her back, on a flimsy card table placed in front of a ceiling to floor window, with a nipple too large so baby developed gas and acid reflux. Isn’t that so cute? 🥺🥺

Maybe Baby Destiny could sleep through the night if her drunk mother wasn’t flopped into bed by her drunk gammy at 12-2 am. Maybe try turning the TV off too. Although electronics have raised her, it’s probably quite a distraction for a 3.5 year old. Best option yet? Give the child her own fucking space. Alex moved home and took over 3/4 of the house, giving A zero of that.

It’s not her disability that keeps her from being a good parent. It’s her personality and immaturity. A child who has no obvious delays and has had multiple adults caring for them all day every day should be potty trained and speaking.
