Can you loop vinyl w Rane Seventy/two as you would Pioneer S 7/9/11?
Whatup Reddit! I’ve seen the pioneer DJM series, peeps looping vinyl and adding layers. Wondering you can do the same w Rane for vinyl?

Vinyl enthusiast of Reddit! Once again, here I am. Looking to build another set. This one goes out to the djs with 2 copies, to double up, loop and jam. Open to Original Electro / Freestyle ( Pretty Tony, Freestyle, Kraftwerk), 90s house anthems( Inner City, Armand Van Helden, Bucketheads), jazzy soul ( Blackbryds, Lonnie Liston, Joe Bataan), hip hop breaks. Artist just go give some reference. Drop a comment, so I can DM. Motivated and all for the love of music.
Yooo. Really working on my technique and what I’m lacking. I’m lacking shadow/ highlights bad. What criticism so far?
Pretty solo dolo out here. Open to all critiques.
I got zero confidence for 3D. Same goes for highlights/ shadowing, is there any difference between highlights vs shadowing? Did I do anything right/ what’s wrong?
It’s that time for another bundle. Anyone with a list/ bundle of assorted flavors to spin and party rock. Can be 7/12 “ singles/ doubles, comps, LPs. Need help with stack as theres no options to dig/ purchase where I am. Hit me with a list/ spreadsheet/ media of what’s available.
Made a few purchases prior, time for another.
Thanks in advance!
So, after posting on here a while back, I used a grid to align the elements of my design (aside from a small block of text below the big logo and a bigger logo that was kind of eyed in because I was too lazy to align it after deleting the grid).
But I decided to also share the creative process behind a typical piece I do, which is a rough sketch after my mind does its thing.
Edit: I think some people are imagining the sketch was done freehand from imagination.
The whole reason it aligns with the final is because I used the same grid and the same photo references throughout the process. The sketch wasn't meant to be a loose concept sketch it was a composition/layout sketch, using a grid.
Once the car outlines are placed and the composition is established, most of the major elements are already where they'll be in the final poster. If I moved everything around afterwards, there wouldn't be much point in using a grid in the first place.
Howdy friends! It’s that time, I’m back and ready for another bundle. They can be 45s, 12” singles, compilations, LPs. Some of this and some of that. Let’s make something happen.
Seriously no hate, so don’t hate! Really trying to understand, why people who run their own business do not respond to inquiries. Been up here 2 years. Would say I’m apart of community, do my part supporting local as well as spreading the word on events and things happening. I also provide a service as a musician/ entertainer. Why is business choose not to reply to email, or contact back when leaving a message via phone/ text/ voicemail? Why is it these Alaskan business owners rather ignore than respond? Personally, I’d rather be rejected( sorry we are not interested, or we don’t have a budget, any response really). Instead, it’s just cold air. As this point, just frustrated and really attempting to understand.
TLDR; why Alaska business owners choose to ignore/ not respond to inquiry instead of rejecting?
Just freestylin w slaps. Belo, I feel like I’m ready to get funky fresh. Will updated w new batch. Need to explore background/ 3Ds etc..
Howdy yall! Been here in Anchorage a few months now and figured out the spots I enjoy. It’s Friday night and I’m looking to read a book/ flip thru a zine/ surf the web… all I know is Barnes and Noble, but I’d rather go to a local/ mom pop joint. Anything for this evening? I don’t drink/ don’t know how I’d do in a bar setting?
Peace peace. I write this to get these thoughts freeed from my mind. It’s no shade directed, just my recent observation and current experiences. The EDM/ CDJ definitely got fat, clean sound! They are warm and inviting, as I’m new to the region and was able to hop on open decks. It’s cool to hear songs I haven’t heard before. Just trying to understand, how they never mess up. I don’t notice too many fader or jog wheel/ platter action. Curious because at open decks, I only have the Numark dj2go and I was just utilize it like a toy cutting it up, mixing, using the platter. Also off beat here and here. And having a gradual build up. Tonight I was at a dj night, it’s 630 and they got it steady at 115. Big question, how would one invite them to a friendly battle? I’ve not battled before but am up for it, just for fun.
How did I do? I picked up Eros on the weekend and been using daily so far. The MontBlanc was during the week and only used once after changing out from work. I enjoy the Eros as it seems last through the day. MontBlanc just hits my nose with crispy freshness but doesn’t last? Forgive me I’m a novice.
Howdy! I’m in a new town temporarily til end of summer for a credential program. Hit up a 2-3 shops without a response, so I follow up w a 20 min tailored mix. One response back after sharing they had not good experience w dj. So we are emailing, they got an event coming and forward me to their event collaborator to work out details. They same questions I asked the original shop; I ask the collaborator and they refer me back to the original. The kicker is the collab doesn’t have a budget, willing to play as the shop has a nice sound system. So I hint at a barter; store credit ( coffee shop), some merch? The collab doesn’t give me direct answer, just says that’s a good idea. So I email the shop again, summarizing what the collaborator and I discussed. The shop does not acknowledge any bartering/ store credit/ merch. And lastly; refers the sound guy to answer questions. Sound guy ends up redirecting my original question back to the shop. Back at step one. So I with drew my interested.
Am I in the wrong? I was open to bartering, but felt as shop owner was cold. How would yall handle it?
