[loved trope] Let’s repeat that scene but now something is very wrong.

Shaun of the Dead - Shaun goes through his daily routine even in the midst of the zombie apocalypse.

Batman Returns - Selena unsuccessfully tries to maintain her sanity after being killed and coming back with 9 more lives.

(Hated trope) Team can’t use iconic name so they have to use a really dumb one for way too long.

Cobra Kai - After being kicked out of Cobra Kai Johnny is forced to come up with a new dojo name and settles on… Eagle Fang Karate. It’s not bad for a joke about how Johnny just wants to sound badass and sucks at subtlety, but he sticks with that name way too long as if it actually stands a chance to be on equal ground as Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do.

The Mighty Ducks - The most famous pee-wee hockey team in sports history. A great and noble name that emphasizes teamwork and loyalty… except years later they’re now the morally corrupt team the Hawks once were so Lorelai Gilmore decides to start her own team of lovable misfits, the… Don’t Bothers… yeah that’s the name they went with. Didn’t want to think it over a little more, nope. First season we’re rooting for the Don’t Bothers… sigh.

Remember when Ray Charles was asked to do a commercial for Pepsi and he belted out this absolute banger?

Terrible pick up experience. Some places think they can just treat drivers like shit.

I did a grocery pick up today at a major chain. Been to that location several times as a driver and a customer. Never had any problems before.

They have you pull around back to the loading area where there’s supposed to be an employee there to get your items or there’s a phone number that you can call.

So I pull around back, no one is there. I call the phone number, no answer, so I wait by the door. It’s open and there’s people walking around inside so I try to stand so they notice me. After a few minutes no one is coming, I try the phone number again. More drivers are arriving, still no one inside coming up to us. At this point it’s been over ten minutes.

Finally a manager comes up to the back and, frustrated, I tell him “Hey, I’ve tried calling the number twice, no one’s picking up, you really need to have someone back here we’ve been waiting.”

He immediately says, “You’re not getting your order! Don’t talk to me like a condescending child! You’re not a customer you’re a partner! You don’t know what’s going on back here, you show some respect! Don’t take that tone with me!” Just yelling, going on a full power trip, and escalating the situation in front of everyone. I felt like I was going to blow up so I turn around and walk away, cancel the order, and report his behavior to the app.

I know we all have bad days, but Jesus fucking Christ don’t take it out on me because you don’t have your shit together. You’re going to blow up at someone because they talked to you in the wrong “tone” get out of customer service.
