How does Eternal stand up to Doom (2016) ? Better, not as good, even?

My only experience with Doom is playing Doom 64 and watching my cousins play 1 & 2 on PC years ago. I'm playing this on Xbox Series X. Late to the party but excited for the playthrough!

This trilogy is special but this first game set it off. Whats the expectations on the remake? I want to hear the opinions 🤙. I'm hopeful but have the backwards compatability thats fills the need

It feels jammed with bullshit to the point its hard to even understand objectives. I'd never played it but feels like a big step back from Wildlands. I know I'm late to the party lol can't play this without internet and I used to live in BFE. ( ok for clarity I am currently playing the game. I meant I didn't get to play it when it first came out and this is my first playthrough. Currently about halfway through if I had to guess)

Such a cool dynamic and feature but seeing it through the OG lens is badass! Got a few more provinces to attack SC style. Anyone else order the team to hold at base and just go on solo like we're accustomed to doing? Lol . Been playing around with it and getting the hang of clearing out points with no kills or limited engagement. Using just NVG'S and Thermal no drone. Fucking tough! But fun

Recently finished my playthrough of the Splinter Cell series now packed out with SC kit in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Its definitely not the same but its still cool in a way and probably the closest we'll ever come to a sequel to blacklist. Taking what I can get🤷‍♂️
