6% match not showing?

Since I hit my 1 year anniversary at the end of March I’ve had my contribution set to 6% and always saw the amount in Merrill Lynch but for last week’s pay period I saw that I only got half the amount I usually get.

And yes my personal contribution is still set at 6%. Anyone else ever had this issue? I figure it’s probably a delay but I just want someone to validate my concern.

What is your favorite shift to work?

I’m curious to hear from this age group what you think is the best shift in the 24 hour period to work. (This also includes different variants such as 6am-2pm, 10am-6pm, 4pm-12am, etc.)

As much hate as it gets, i think a mid-day shift like 9am-5pm is the best, Although you do need to take sick time for doctors appointments and deal with more traffic, At least you aren’t waking up really early and get to have the evening off like most people do.

“I don’t think humans will be around much longer”

This has got to be one of my biggest doomer pet peeves.

Someone will mention the year 2500 or something like that then someone will say “There’s no way humans will still be around”

Of course they will be! You do realize humanity came very close to extinction a couple of times with a much smaller world population?

This is basically another way of saying medieval times were better than today.

Can you get kicked out from an academy for quitting your most recent job without notice?

I don't mean a previous job that you quit a while ago and lied about, But for example let's say you begin the academy on June 2nd and you quit your current job on June 1st without notice to attend the academy.

If they find out, What will they think? I don't believe in two week notices so I'd prefer to not give a notice if I don't have to.

How to practice for exam?

I already studied the official practice exam and I need new material to study instead of the same questions I already did. Is there anything else out there for free?

Sometimes I see posts that say “Back in the 1950s 1960s 1970s, etc, A father would be able to work and have a stay-at-home wife, a fully paid house, a car, 2 kids and a vacation”

but was this really true or just doomerism?

Besides, I don’t think black families in the 1960s thought the same way.

While yes it's true there are problems with every job hence why we are paid to do it, There are still some jobs better than others and some issues in a current job may not be present in another job.

So it's totally okay to want to leave for something better even if the other job would still have it's own issues.
