Best Hair Stylists and Salons

What are some of the best hair stylists and salons in Rochester? I’m a man who’s looking to get a medium-length cut that suits my face. I’m just unsure of what kind of style to get, and need some objective advice or guidance by a stylist. I might be looking to get a perm as well, along with getting my eyebrows shaped.

Do Things Get Better With Age?

Thoughts about my appearance have amplified over the past three years, and I’ve been stuck in a rut ever since. I’m only 20 but I’ve been having catastrophic thoughts related to my looks. I think I may have some structural problems, and I have really bad skin issues, but my mind puts everything under a microscope. I feel that I won’t achieve my goals, get married, have kids, etc.

My question is, do things get better with age? I’ve heard that most people don’t care about their looks as they progress into their 30s or so. I’m just afraid of being stuck in this state of mind forever.

Consultation and First Steps

I show various signs of having a recessed maxilla and/or mandible. Would a good first step be consulting with an orthodontist? I’m sure they could refer me to a surgeon if any invasive treatment is necessary.

I previously had braces for a narrow palate and, while I show more teeth in a smile now, my jaws still seem to be recessed. I have a lot of loose skin around my mid-face, and it balloons when I smile. I also have drooping upper eyelids with downward slanting eyes. Is the latter caused by a recessed maxilla? I read there could be a connection but I highly doubt this.

Who are some of the best maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeons in the area? I’m looking to get an evaluation for the positioning of my jaws due to sleep apnea and other related issues

I’m very curious if my jaws are recessed? I’ve felt that there may be an issue with their positioning, but am unsure. I’ve included pictures with and without facial hair.

Facial hair is often my crutch to look structured, as I look androgynous without it. I have not been diagnosed with any sleep disorder, although I often feel tired during the day. I have a slight lisp and often trip on words, although I don’t know if that is related.

I’ve gotten a lot of different answers online, and I wanted to see if this is actually worth bringing to a dentist or maxillofacial expert.

I’m unsure if my jaw is recessed. Facial hair adds significant structure to my face and I look androgynous without it. My cheeks and the fat under my eyes tends to “balloon” pretty badly when I smile. I’m just curious if this is an actual issue or me being self-conscious. I’ve added a few photos just to give a more accurate picture
