I keep finding these in my kitchen

I think it’s a type of ant, but I have no idea where they are coming from. Is this a kind of ant that nests inside houses? I’m in upstate NY, near Old Forge.

GE dishwasher issues

GE model: GDT605PSM0SS

For months, the dishwasher would go dead completely. No power or lights on the user controls. It had power at the lower control board. If I turned off the breaker for a half an hour, it would sometimes come back on. That stopped about a week ago and I couldn’t get it to come back on no matter what I did, so I replaced the control board. That brought it back to life however, I’m still having the issue where it shuts itself off. The control board has a fast green blinking LED on it and occasionally it will let out a 3-note beep with no change in the diagnostic light. Google searches and AI results are inconclusive as to what the light is telling me. Do I need to replace the UI board too? Thanks.

GE Dishwasher help

***Model : GDT605PSM0SS***
***Serial : DR734315B***

I have this weird issue with my dishwasher. It’s completely dead no power to it at all, but the breaker has not tripped. If I turn the power off for a little while and turn it back on again I can sometimes get the dishwasher to start up and run a cycle. Other times, I can flip the breaker and nothing changes and the dishwasher continues to be dead. I replaced the breaker. I’ve moved the location in the panel. I checked the power at the bottom three pin connection and it all seems fine so I’m assuming that it’s something to do with the dishwasher power module itself. Any thoughts or suggestions on what else could be bad?

Why can’t someone make a dehumidier that lasts more than a year or two?

Two more dead units that I now have to dispose of. Yes, I got replacements from the companies, but still. I have 25 year old window air conditioner units that still work. I’ve had probably 6 dehumidifiers over the last 4 years (I use one in my basement and one in my workshop.) Are they that different?

Boring fight or sexy time?

I saw this weird behavior between two spiders on my deck railing today. Weirdest thing I ever saw spiders do.

Maytag dishwasher help

I was getting a drain pump error on model MDB4949SKZ 0. Drain pump seems fine. On the main pump there seems to be a problem. It was getting pretty hot. I took it apart and it looked like some sludge was in the cylindrical filter screen. From the looks of it, that silver filter should spin freely in the gray housing, but it appears fused. Can anyone tell me the proper term so I can order this assembly? Also, what is the function of the s-shaped gray piece inside? Thanks.

Edit: I found it. How can that little piece of plastic cost $90!?! Part number W11643383

Trailer price

Is this a decent deal? I went and looked at it and it’s pretty rust free except for the underside of the rear cross member. I scoped inside it and while there’s rust it’s hard to tell how bad it is. Here’s the fb marketplace listing.
