Timber!
Thanks for the guiding words. The next phase of this C.ovata's life begins... and so does the phase of all of the cuttings! There's a surprising number of plantlets already in the pot.

Some lovely little succulents from our recent trip to Cornwall. Seemed rude not to 😁
A C.mesembryanthemoides and an O.deltoides plus a couple of little hitchhikers spotted in the pots (will have to wait and see what they turn out to be).
Hi folks, I'm a newbie looking for upgrade advice (or should I stick with what I have).
On the right, I use that shackle because I'm missing a line lock to make up the multiplier. I was going to order another when I then started thinking about Web Locks and Hangovers. After that I fell down the lineGrip rabbit hole and thought it would make sense to come and ask folk that actually know what they are doing! 😁
A lot of the online stuff seems to be a few years old, so I wasn't sure what was the best route to take. I'm not looking to spend loads just for the sake of it, but was interested in seeing if upgrading would help with tensioning.
Looking forward to hearing your advice.
So many succulents growing well down here.
Well, I was pretty convinced that Zed was dead... was even doing a photo log each day watching the decomposition that I was hoping to turn into a time lapse. Then today I came down and he was facing the opposite way. Then today he had moved about 3" onto the back wall of the tank from the side where he had been all week. Torpor? Something else? Prelude to the end?
Hi folks, we had another fall the other day, to which snail was flipped back over and has been relatively sluggish since, but was on the glass feeding. This morning I've come down to this. What looks like a load of poop; but also what looks like the snail not actually being attached to the glass? Anyone seen this before?
Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking maybe Downy, but the abdomen seems too large from the photos I've seen.
Hey folks,
.I've a 2015 Honda CRV which is starting to get some delamination of the factory coating (unless someone clear coated it more recently). I've been looking at various products and am torn between finished really. 2k Clear (the 2 in 1 from Spraymax looks good) or Ceramic, or PPF. Or indeed a combination of a couple - clear then PPF and then even Ceramic on top of that. Or do I just treat the headlight like my paint and regularly decontamination spray then polish then seal?
Second time in the last 5 days I've found him, seemingly fallen off the branch there. First time he was fully closed up. This time not so much. Flipped him the first time and he was right back to climbing in 5 minutes. Do I keep flipping or is this a sign of sad times to come?
We find a lot of this quartz / feldspar / tourmaline filled granite on the Cornish coast. We seem to bring some back each time we go. It has a beautiful sparkle.
Found in the SW of England.
Hey folks, I was tidying my garden and found two pieces of this. Guessing someone threw it over my fence. Not complaining. I do like a nice piece of agate. This will be going to sit in my window.
Terrible photo. Tiny jumping spider found in Cornwall, UK, particularly near Penzance. Could anyone hazard a guess off the fuzzy photo?
So can I now safely assume that Zed is female? I've never had those little off white dots before.
After a couple of days skimming the sand Zed has today taken themselves off on an adventure! Who would have ever thought that watching a snail munch on algae could be so fascinating.
Looks black in the photo but it is clearer under torch light.
Zed is already up and about and having some food.
Picture for attention
Today I went to my local fish shop and fell in love with these gorgeous little fellows. So adorable. Wish I had a tank big enough to do them justice.
Meet Zed. After losing Bert I wasn't sure, but decided Zed should come home after seeing him in my LFS.
